Individual Assignment on Information Systems and Enterprise

Applications
You are required to select a global or multinational corporate body (500 Fortune Company) and
do a critical analysis of MIS applications throughout its whole business process. You are required
to do an in-depth study of the selected corporates’ using Porters’ Five Forces model and Value
chain models to identify its existing or implemented strategy using information systems.

Then explore how has the company employed the enterprise system to smooth the company
performance for the global standards by implementing business value of supply chain management
system, customer relationship management, and knowledge management systems.

After submitting the assignment, you are required to make a presentation.

Important dates
Individual Presentation needs to be done: 9th September 2023 from 9.00am.
Individual Assignment submission deadline: 17th September 2023 on or before 11.59p.m.

Assignment
The A4 size paper must be typed on a computer and comply with the following requirements:
Font: Times New Roman, font size 12, and a line spacing of 1.5. Instruction:

Word count: The length of the home assignment should not exceed 5000 words.
Not included in this count: the front page (with name and title etc), summary, table of contents and
references (bibliography) and footnotes if available.

Structure
Technically the assignment should be as good as possible: well organized in titles and subtitles,
footnotes and references. The paper should follow the following recommended structure for each
question:
(1) Table of contents
(2) Introduction.
The introduction is to be placed in the beginning of the paper and should contain the following: 2
- Short explanation of the relevant background or context;
- Clarification of terms (or definitions) if necessary
- Presentation of the structure of the text (an overview of the chapters).
(3) Main text (body)
This is the section where you develop the arguments.
(4) Conclusion
(5) Annex: List of references (bibliography) or use of legal style formatting with references in the
footnotes.
The use of footnotes and references in the bibliography should be consistent.
For footnotes and how to make references in the document, please see the document Guidelines on
quotations, references, and bibliographies need to be followed in the APA style.

• Oral presentation needs to be done for a maximum of 8 minutes and then a question and
answer session for 2 minutes
• Prepare the presentation slides minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10.
