group Project Annual Report 2020


Introduction:
Sneh-Prerana is a group of youth, who are voluntary conducting value addition centers in the various communities. These
youth are the past beneficiaries of the Snehdeep sponsorship Programme. Snehdeep has helped them financially and
morally in their educational period who overcome their adverse situations with this help. They are successfully completing
their career. At the same time as a taken of gratitude they are returning what they have received by offering their
services.
Overview:
Snehprerana is a group of youth, who are voluntary conducting value addition centers in the various communities. These
youth are the past beneficiaries of the Snehdeep sponsorship Programme. Snehdeep has helped them financially and
morally in their educational period who overcome their adverse situations with this help. They are successfully completing
their career. At the same time as a taken of gratitude they are returning what they have received by offering their
services. Age group of the 6 To 16 years is formative phase of life. In the sensitive period the surrounding affects the
development of individual. The parents are not much literate and are whole day busy to earn the livelihood. Communities
are congested and there are many misleading temptation like VDO parlors, Internet, Mobile the spoiled adolescent with
bad habits. The innocent children can easily fall prevent, to this, to avoid this needs a guidance centers offering
constructive development to incubate good morals. The youth volunteers have indentified this need and started18 value
addition community centers.
About Volunteers:
Snehdeep have developed good rapport with children & parents. They are very open to share their personal & family
problems. Senior students help in all workshops as volunteers. Students have developed very good relationship among
themselves. They share their experience younger students get benefit from elder student’s experience. We have started
student’s social participation in our projects. Students are voluntarily participating in summer & Diwali workshop and
helping younger children in this workshop and participating other projects. Some elder clever students gave study skill
guidance and motivating 10th std students. The information about documents required for admission is given to parents.
They have already started collecting the document. Resource person always admire students behavior, participation when
they come to conduct workshops.
Objectives:
 To aware them behavioral attitudes and manners.
 To motivate them participate all the activities.
 To develop their study skills.
 To arrange activities with children to encourage their confidence.
 To teach healthy food habits, hygiene, nutrition and care of the environment.
 To prevent them bad habits. To aware them social issues.
Snehprerana Volunteers Working procedure:
 Past sponsored students have voluntarily started value addition classes in their own localities. 20 voluntary value
addition centers and voluntary library started in their community for slum community children.
 21 Voluntary groups formed by youth beneficiaries of Sponsorship program. Primary activities are conducting
SanskarVarga (Value education classes) and running libraries for children (8 to 16 years) from their own
communities.
 75 volunteers and 380 children participating in these activities.
 18 senior volunteers are conducting events and community awareness programmes with value addition center
children and volunteers. They had take responsibility for programmes arrangement, planning, material preparing,
and permissions from other centers, NGO’s and government procedure. Event management committee also
established.

These activities are given to volunteers by Snehdeep to conduct the centers effectively with the children and increase
volunteer’s participation all the programmes.
Volunteers Training:
1. SJF arranged quarterly training for volunteers about activities related value addition center. This year we arranged
10 training sessions for volunteers.
2. Annual activities, programmes, trainings, visit, festivals planning, review reporting and sharing.
3. Quarterly Planning:
a) How we take activities with children and preparation before activity, session planning, material use technique,
sharing with children about their own experience, examples, roll models, day to day examples, volunteers co-
ordination, team work, responsibilities, behavior, dress code, language, subjects points, participatory method
b) Start group activity with pray, exercise, omkar, Yoga, song, games, puzzles, discussion.
4. Snehdeep gave training to Snehprerana volunteers. They focused on value addition related activities,
volunteerism, volunteer’s responsibilities, motivation, devotion and social issues and session’s subjects. They
focused on how to conduct group activities with children.
5. Snehdeep organization organizes volunteers training in the Pandemic how to conduct online activities with
children and make them youngage and without stress.
6. We organized training for volunteers of self care in the pandemic.
7. We organize technical knowledge for making audio, VDO.
8. Motivational speech, debates, and personality development related sessions arranged for volunteers.
9. Competitions, prizes, cultural programmes arranged by SJF for volunteers.
10. Career guidance, educational information, documents and admission procedure for volunteers career
development.
11. Family counseling, social issues, family problems related volunteers SJF focused on all the issues through home
visits, meetings with parents, visit to vocational centers.
12. We gave training about how to organize awareness programme in the pandemic with the community and how to
identify beneficiaries.

Volunteers Big Role in the Pandemic:


In the pandemic period our volunteer’s participation is very useful for Snehdeep and community peoples.
Because most of volunteers are living at slum area nearby community. In the Lockdown they got police
permission for volunteerism; Snehdeep gave them Identity card and introduce government and Ngo’s.
 They helped government health workers for health check up and awareness about this virus.
 They identified needy families like widows, single parents, old age peoples, handicap peoples for
grocery distribution.
 They helped other NGO’s CSR companies for distribution of sanitization material distribution and

immunity medicines.
 They helped Library teachers for children’s home visits for educational activities and gave
information about children’s online education and their support.
 They involved in parents meeting and helped Snehdeep for awareness programme.
 They arranged awareness programme through poster exhibition, message through audio and VDO.
 Volunteers helped our malnutrition project for identification of malnourish children from the
community.
 They provided senior citizens medicines, food,
grocery, medical checkup, moral support from
government, CSR companies, NGO’s
Group Activity procedure:
Because of Pandemic we had started group activity from pandemic
period because of Lockdown April and may we stopped our activity.
We started online activity from June to August after conducted
September to December offline activities. We planned activities
depends on situation and gave training to volunteers.

After the training volunteer discussed with their group members and planned their activity. Some time they want group
implementation material like chart, VDO, film, projector, sound system. After they will start their activity with children.

Snehdeep organization discussed with volunteers about children’s study, their performance in the school, their weakness,
and their problems. Volunteers discussed about this problem and we planned activities on study techniques with children.
In this pandemic children don’t have internet facility they are trying so many problems related online education so
volunteers gave them online education techniques with study skills.

Outcome: Children increased awareness about good
study they are trying to improve their study skills. Children
learn new study skills and trying to solve their problems
and trying to share their skills to siblings. They are trying
to concentrate on study with the help of parents because
of this pandemic school are closed online education going
on but they cant understand all the subjects.
All Snehprerana group children’s are living at slum area and very big crowd and small houses. They don’t and hygiene
facility like toilet, bathrooms they are using public facility, In this pandemic these children are facing so many health issues
we focused on health related following activities with children and family members.

Snehdeep working with children to develop their all over personality with weekly
activities, workshops but sometimes we need resource person for guidance. We
called resource person for following subjects, they gave guidance and tips to children about their weakness and to develop their
life skills.

Outcome: Children got new information related their personality development, career, and job they participating all the
activities without fear, stress. Children increased communication skill and positive thinking. Children learnt new information

leadership quality. Children participating all the activities, competitions, roll plays they changed their bad habits and increasing
good habits.
Values related activities:
The age group of these children is very sensitive they are growing physically and mentally but they need to learn values for their
life skill. Without values children can’t make their personality, good behavior and social life and their responsibility. Moral values
are the values defined by the society based on which a person’s character is judged. A person is said to be good or bad on the
basis of these values. A person’s choices and decisions in life are dependent to a large extent on the moral values he/she bears.
Moral values define the norms of right and wrong and good and bad. These defined norms help the people understand as how
they must act in the society in order to lead a peaceful life. Moral values give us an aim in life. We are grounded in reality and
are motivated to do good for those around us if we bear good moral values. Helping others, caring for those around us, taking
wise decisions and not hurting others are some of the examples of good moral values. These values help in bringing out the best
in us.
Method: These activity with children in every week 2 hours 3months through Roll plays, group discussion, drama, information,
pictures, audio video, music, poster presentation with children participation .

Responsibilities Children are identifying their responsibilities they are taking their own responsibilities. Children
helping family members in family responsibilities and studying well. Children are aware about
their responsibilities in self, family, school, community.
Respect Children got information about respect. They are improving their behavior with elders and community,
school and family they developing their self respect. Children improving good habits and avoiding bad
habits. Children are giving respect to girls and women’s. Children increasing positives in their thoughts.

Communication Children got information about communication skill they are improving communication skill, language
and participating in activities like drama, speech and competitions. Children improving their
communication in school, family, friends, community with good manners.
Good & Bad Peer group Children learnt how they choose their friends they are sharing their problems, things with parents.
Children aware about good and bad habits.
Scientific Approach This occasion children arranged poster exhibition about natural colors, save water, save trees. Parents
and community children also participated this porgramme. Community people gave motivation to
children for this activity.Save water activity children discussed about parents, community peoples,
leader about wastage of water and how we save water and help to another people. Children learn also
rain harvesting system and how we major rain.
Save tree activity children prepared project and invited community people and show them importance
of trees and how we save trees. Community peoples appreciated children about their things.
Justice Gender equality: children are helping their mother and sister in the household work and took some
family responsibilities. Children took awareness programme about wastage of food and importance of
food to poor people, animals and birds and community people’s participation is very important for this
issues. Community people learn this issue and motivated children for the programme. Save bird and
care of animals: Children prepared bird feeder, bird house and put some public places, school, garden,
play ground, top of the house. Peoples helped children to put bird feeder and take responsibility of put
daily water and food grains for birds.
Compassions Compassion related poor people, beggars, birds, wastage of water and food, children played rollways
organized poster exhibitions, and drama, songs and they focused and gave awareness to community
people among compassion value.
Mid Term Vacation Workshop
The sponsored children come from a very poor socio economic background and have no opportunities to develop their
creative and social skills. These workshops provide a platform to develop their creativities and give them a sense joy and
happiness. Training sessions were arranged we also called resource person some subject. Students from education
sponsorship senior students voluntary participated in various cultural activities as well as the workshop and also work as
volunteers in the various group activities therefore the no of participants more than sponsored children. Because of
pandemic lockdown period we cant arrange summer vacation workshop after lockdown we arranged only midterm
vacation workshop with children.

National festival and festivals: Because of pandamic we cant arrange national
festivals for children because these programmes are big, government cant allow for children for programm.We arranged
only online competations with the children.In India many festivals are celebrated. Different programmes are arranged for

Special Programme: Rally & Roll plays in the community:
Because of pandemic awareness is very important and big challenge for us. In Pune city and our working area fully spread
by virus so many people’s are infected, peoples are living in slum area, population is big and houses are very small, toilet
facilities are not available for personally, peoples are using common bathroom and toilets, they cant aware about this
virus, peoples are not using mask not applying government protocol like social
distance, use mask, stay at home, go to big crowd, improve their immunity. So we Poster exhibition

Cultural Programme (Gathering):

SJF arranged so many programmes with


children for motivating them their hidden talent. This year we arranged social gathering for children. All children
participated and performed songs, dance, and drama and music instrument skill and enjoyed .

they are happy about children’s performance

Other Help from NGO’s and government in the Pandemic LOCKDOWN period for Sponsorship children
and their families.Covid-19 spread in our working area highly because slum areas are big and houses are small, not
available personal toilet and bathroom facilities they are using public common toilets they don’t aware about this virus
and health and hygiene, so many people’s are infected and feared about children’s health. Slum areas peoples didn’t
support for medical checkup, cant know about health facilities other side parents are widows, single parents or alcoholic
father so they are suffering livelihood and financially problem they are suffering stress. Snehdeep organization and
volunteers with the help of other NGO’s, government. Companies and donor’s give people’s grocery kit, sanitization
material, mask, food, cloths, and medical checkup facilities and medicines with awareness programme gave moral
support. We helped around 2000 ration grocery kit with the help of united way, food from TATA Company, medical check
up from BJS and SCHOOL organization.

Outcome: Children learnt new technology they enjoyed delicious food and discussed with metro project officers about new
techniques, how they handle this project, when metro will be start in our city.
Achievements:
 All the activities conducted by Volunteers with community children. 90% children regularly participated these
activities and enjoyed enthusiastically. 5 new volunteers added this project voluntary.
 90% children are studying online education 10% children don’t have online facility volunteers are trying.
 Parent’s motivation and involvement is increasing and supporting children for to participation in group activity.
 70% children giving speech and participating community awareness Programme.
 70% children’s behavior is changed they avoid peer group pressure and regularly studying well.
 70% children changed their bad habits related health and hygiene.
 70% children changed their study related skills.
 70% children changed their personality and started good habits.
 50% children developed their leadership quality.
 Community peoples helping and motivating children arrangement of programmes.
 Community leaders and youth groups helping volunteer’s s to implement the programme successfully.

and help them to find good job.
 This project helps to identify community problems and volunteer arranging awareness programme and giving
guidance to family and community members.
