This research plan aims to study how students at San Jacinto Catholic School can recover from intense mental health problems. Several students have experienced mental health breakdowns due to the pressures of modular and online learning, as well as personal life stressors. The study seeks to understand how to avoid and recover from intense mental health issues. A review of the related literature found that recovery is a contested concept without a universal definition. Topics covered in previous research include prevalence studies of mental health issues, psychosis, depression, substance abuse, self-harm, and help-seeking behaviors. However, much of the existing research is small in scale.
