The brand mainly targets households,
confident with their products in terms of quality
and this strategy has resulted in their “hero”
products capturing around 40% of the
Malaysian market. The brand targets the top-
end of the market for most of their categories
because they use higher quality ingredients
compared to their competitors and intend
to maintain their market leader status for the
short and the long term. In terms of turnover
growth Bestari aim to at least double their
turnover amount.

auditing to ensure that they fulfil all criteria

Bestari’s factory adheres to strict food safety
guidelines. They are ISO 22000-certified, and
also Halal-certified by JAKIM. All of Bestari’s
products are also certified Halal by JAKIM.
The Bestari brand was the first to introduce
Instant Mashed Potato Mix with gravy in the
Malaysian market.
HISTORY
The brand was started in 2004 in Kota
Kemuning, after shareholders of the company
decided to create a product that they could
call their own. There were only three people
in the team who covered Research and
Development and Sales and Marketing.
Today Bestari are proud to say that their
Crispy Fried Chicken Coating Mix is their most
well known product. But sixteen years ago
when they first started the business there were
plenty of start-up problems. People didn’t want
to give a new brand a try and many predicted
that Bestari as a brand would fail. These
naysayers were emphatically proved wrong.
Thankfully, Bestari experience positive growth
every year. This is due to their aggressive efforts
in making their products the very best available
on the market and also the hard work of all of
their staff, past and present.

RECENT DEVELOPMENTS
Bestari launched a new product - Golden
Salted Egg Seasoning Mix at a ceremony
hosted by the famous Chef Wan in the exhibition
Food Hotel Malaysia in 2019. Response for
the product has been very positive and it
is rapidly becoming one of Bestari’s most
popular products.
Bestari has also invested in a new factory,
equipped with state of the art, fully automated
production technologies. This will not only
increase the output to fulfil the market
demands, but will also bring quality and food
safety standards further up to another level.
PROMOTION
Bestari utilise the full range of media available
to promote their products.
Bestari actively built its presence on social
media through its official Facebook and
Instagram pages, interactive content and also
engaged Media Prima for TV advertisements
aired on TV3 and 8TV for this year featuring
Crispy Fried Chicken Coating Mix and Golden
Salted Egg Seasoning Mix. Bestari run regular
in-store promotions nationwide with local and
international super/hypermarkets. In addition,
to reach out to their audience, Bestari run road
shows and sampling activities with local and
international super/hypermarkets featuring well
known Chefs.
