DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY

The Company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy applies to all personnel who may sail on or
visit the Company’s vessel and embraces the principles set forth in the Oil
Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) “Guideline for the control of
drugs and alcohol aboard ship.”

DRUGS

The misuse of legitimate drugs or the use, possession, distribution or sale of illicit or
unperceived controlled drugs ashore or onboard ship or by shore staff/crew members is
prohibited.

The Company will not employ any persons who are users of or have a recent record of
the use of illegal drugs or have abused the use of prescribed drugs. Any person found in
contravention of the Company’s drug policy will be instantly dismissed and handed over
to the appropriate authorities for prosecution. All are reminded that in certain countries
possession of illegal drugs can result in DEATH PENALTY.

ALCOHOL

 On all vessels, alcohol consumption by personnel is strictly forbidden. Alcohol is


not allowed on board any vessel.

 All crew shall observe a 4-hr period of total abstinence from all alcoholic
beverages prior to scheduled watch-keeping duties or work periods.

 At no time, shall any crew member have a blood alcohol level in excess of
40mg/100ml.

 Excessive consumption of alcohol can have serious adverse affects on an


individual’s health and their ability to function effectively. Any person found to
have an alcohol problem would not be employed by the Company.

TESTING

 Prior to joining a vessel, the employee shall undergo a medical examination that
includes Drug & Alcohol check.

 Unannounced Drug & Alcohol tests shall be undertaken at a maximum interval of


12 months.

 In the event of any other significant / serious incident, the master or officers
should implement drug and alcohol tests on all crew members and officers
involved as deemed appropriate.
