ALTERNATIVE LEARNING SYSTEM (ALS) MODULES
DEVELOPED BY REGIONAL AND SCHOOLS DIVISION

The Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Alternative

Education–Program Management and System Development Division (BAE-
PMSDD) is scheduled to conduct the Workshop on the Quality Assurance
of Alternative Learning System (ALS) Modules developed by Regional
and Schools Division Offices on November 28 to December 2, 2022
(inclusive of travel time) at Tanza Oasis Hotel, Tanza, Cavite.

This activity aims to evaluate ALS modules developed by regional and school
division offices to ensure that all contents are accurate, error-free, and
compliant with DepEd standards.

Relative to this, select personnel from your regions are identified as Learning
Resource Evaluators (LREs) for this activity. Please see Attachment 1 for
the list of LREs.

The identified LREs are reminded of the following:

1. Attendance shall be confirmed through email at
kristinelee.lumanog@deped.gov.ph.
2. The first meal to be served is lunch on November 28, 2022 while the
last meal is AM snack on December 2, 2022. The Program of Activities
is included in this memorandum as Attachment 2 for reference.
3. Observance of COVID-19 Alert Level System protocols set by the
national and local Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of

 Emerging and Infectious Diseases (IATF) as well as the most recent
DepEd rules and regulations is required.

In addition, concerned school heads and teachers are directed to institute

measures that learning activities continue while the select participants
attend this activity. Teaching and non-teaching personnel attending the said
workshop may be granted service credits pursuant to the guidelines
specified in DepEd Order No. 53, s. 2003 (Updated Guidelines on Grant of
Vacation Service Credit of Teachers) and Compensatory Time-Off (CTO) per
CSC-DBM Joint Circular No. 2, s. 2004 (Non-Monetary Renumeration for
Overtime Services), whichever is appropriate and applicable.

Travel expenses, board and lodging, and other incidental expenses incurred
in the conduct of this activity shall be charged against the 2022 FLO-ALS
Fund subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

In case that the downloaded funds are not sufficient to cover the actual
expenses incurred, local funds or Program Support Funds (PSF) shall be
utilized to augment the reimbursement of the said expenses.
