Some say that public service is a public trust.

And for a public servant like Mati City’s

Division Nurse Ms. Fritzie A. Aparra, she knows that she is entrusted the power to serve
for the benefit of the people and never for herself.

It is not every day you would see a trainer, an educator, an advocate, a health care
provider, a program manager, and a courageous frontliner rolled into a versatile woman
of empowerment and dedicated public service.

“The quest for quality education and the delivery support services for basic education
stakeholders must be continued and moving forward is the best option, and that, no one
shall be left behind,” she articulates.

Holding significant responsibility and accountability as the program manager on health

and nutrition in the Schools Division of the City of Mati, Ms. Aparra has not faltered in
bannering and underscoring the relevance of sustaining the health and well-being of
basic education stakeholders through the implementation of the flagship programs of
Oplan Kalusugan sa Department of Education (OK sa DepEd).

Her efforts and quality public service did not go unnoticed. She was awarded the
Winner of the 2021 Virtual Search for Exemplary Achievement of Great and Laudable
Employees (EAGLE) – Nurse II Category. She was also recognized as one of the
Regional Outstanding COVID-19 Volunteers. Further, Ms. Aparra also merited the
Recognition for Outstanding and Exemplary Support Services as SBFP Focal Person of
Region XI for CY 2020.

But beyond the accolades, Ms. Aparra remains grateful and humble, knowing that her
most significant achievements are the people she helped become productive in their
respective communities. Even in these trying times of the COVID-19 pandemic, she has
proven that life can still be worthwhile and that there is still room to do something
exemplary and serve the marginalized. Above all these trying times, Ms. Aparra vows to
keep her dedication and commitment and remain steadfast, heartwarmingly
instrumental in attaining quality education for all.

And despite the New Normal challenges, Ms. Aparra will always be that kind heart
willing to reach out and help others simply because she knows in her heart that even
before she was a public servant, she was merely doing the right thing to make a
difference in other people’s lives.
