The chart below shows the percentage of female members of

parliament in 5 European countries from 2000 to 2012


The given line chart illustrates the propotion of female elements of parliament in European nations, namely
Germany, Italia, France, The UK, and Belgium, between 2000 and 2012.

Overall, there was an increase in the percentage of females members of parliament to Germany, Italia,
France, the UK. Specially, the figure for The UK significantly increased. In addition, the figure for Belgium
slightly decline.

The propotion of Germany nation started at about 33%, after which is experienced a increase gradually to
35% in 2008, before moderately increase to the end the period at about 38%. Similar changes can be seen in
the figure for Italy, which began at 27%, the increase slightly to 33% in 2008, and finally substantially
incease to 39%.

Approximately 3% of the female members of parliament the UK in 2000, with a subsequent rapidly rose to
20% in next 8 years and final moderate increase to 27%. The figure for Belgium saw opposite changes,
started at about 17% in 2000, after which it experienced increase to 29% in 2004 and finally, dropped at
about 27% in 2012.
