What is digraph? Digraphs and diphthong
A digraph is a group of two successive letters that represent a single sound.
There are two types of digraphs. They are: (1) Vowel digraphs (2) Consonant
digraphs.

Vowel digraphs in English include ai (as in rain), ay (day), ea (teach), ea (bread,


break), ee (free), ei (eight), ey (key), ie (piece), oa (road), oo (book, room), ow
(slow), ue (true), qu (queen) ou (ouch)

Consonant digraphs in English include ch (as in church), ng (king), ph (phone), sh


(shoe), th (then), th (think), and wh (wheel).

Now, we will see more examples with these vowel digraphs.
