MONEY, MONEY, MONEY

A practical faith
MONEY
➤ Currency used for exchange and daily transaction
➤ “Money and possessions are the second most
referenced topic in the Bible – money is
mentioned more than 800 times.
DEVIL'S WORKERS MEETING
“Go, make the possessors of lands and money drunk with the
cares of this life. Present the world before them in its most
attractive light, that they may lay up their treasure here and
x their a ections upon earthly things. We must do our
utmost to prevent those who labor in God’s cause from
obtaining means to use against us. Keep the money in our own
ranks. The more means they obtain, the more they will injure
our kingdom by taking from us our subjects. Make them care
more for money than for the upbuilding of Christ’s
kingdom and the spread of the truths we hate, and we need
not fear their in uence; for we know that every sel sh,
covetous person will fall under our power, and will nally
be separated from God’s people. – {TM 473.3}

Hoarding Contentment
Ye have sown much, and bring in
little; ye eat, but ye have not enough;

ye drink, but ye are not lled with
drink; ye clothe you, but there is none
warm; and he that earneth wages
earneth wages to put it into a bag
with holes. Thus saith the LORD of
hosts; Consider your ways.

“ But godliness with contentment is
great gain. For we have brought
nothing into the world, so we cannot
take anything out of it either.…

Success Faithfulness
HOW DO WE DEFINE
SUCCESS?

WHAT IS FAITHFULNESS?
Two things have I required of thee; deny me

them not before I die: Remove far from me
vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor
riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say,
Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and
steal, and take the name of my God in
vain.

STORY OF LOT (GENESIS 19)
➤ Abraham dwelled in the
land of Canaan, and Lot
dwelled in the cities of the
plain, and pitched his tent
toward Sodom. (Genesis
13:12)

➤ Remember Lot’s wife.

(Luke 17:32)
But Lot delayed

It was hard to forsake his luxurious home and all the

wealth acquired by the labors of his whole life, to go forth a
destitute wanderer.

Hesitancy or delay now would be fatal. To cast one lingering

look upon the devoted city, to tarry for one moment from
regret to leave so beautiful a home, would have cost their life.
– {PP 160.2}
“ No man can serve two masters: for
either he will hate the one, and love
the other; or else he will hold to the
one, and despise the other. Ye cannot
serve God and mammon.

-Matthew 6:24
The love of money, the desire for

wealth, is the golden chain that binds
them to Satan.... But these slavish
bands must be broken. We cannot be
half the Lord’s and half the world’s.
We are not God’s children unless we
are such entirely.
