PROCEDURE FOR INSTALMENT PAYMENT OF FEES

Following various complaints by a cross-section of new and returning students of their


inability to take advantage of the Instalment Option for the payment of their fees, kindly
find below the procedure for payment in instalments:

1. Generate payment advice from the student portal. Please note that the payment
advice used for the first payment will also be used for subsequent payments.
2. Proceed to pay 50% obligatory fees with 100% utility fees. This means that:
A. For new undergraduates who opt for payment in instalments, the minimum
payment is Utility (100%) + toxicology (100%) + obligatory (50%). Thus, the
breakdown for all new undergraduates is as follows:

B. For returning undergraduates who opt for payment in instalments, the


minimum payment is Utility 100% + 50% obligatory. Thus, the breakdown is
as follows:

3. Kindly note that 20% of the balance must be paid before the printing of
examination dockets for 1st Semester, 2023/2024 examinations. This means that:
A. New students will pay:

B. Returning students will pay:

4. The final 30% balance must be paid before the end of registration for 2nd
Semester, 2023/2024. This means that:

UNILAG SET TO HOST AFRICAN ENGINEERING EDUCATION FORUM, OCT. 3 – 5

The University of Lagos is set to host the African Engineering Education Forum (AEEF) as
follows:
Date: Tuesday, October 3 – Thursday, October 5, 2023
Time: 9:00a.m. daily
Venue: Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos

The conference with the theme: “Strengthening Engineering Education in Africa


through Innovative Collaboration” is organised by the African Engineering Education
Association (AEEA) and Federation of African Engineering Organisations (FAEO) in
collaboration with African Engineering Deans' Council (AEDC) and the University of
Lagos.

The Forum/Conference is targeted at providing a platform for educators, professional


organizations and industry leaders, both local and international, to discuss and proffer
solutions to common problems in engineering education. The Forum will critically
examine approaches to teaching, learning and curriculum structures that would advance
engineering education in resource-constrained environments like African nations. It is
anticipated that the Forum will foster exchange of information, links, and collaboration
between member nations on the one hand and the rest of the world on the other.



UNILAG HOLDS 3RD INTERNATIONAL WEEK, OCT. 9 – 13

The third edition of the University of Lagos International Week will hold from Monday,
October 9, 2023 to Friday, October 13, 2023.

With the theme: “Breaking the Borders of Partnership”, the event will feature several
activities including a keynote address by the Vice-Chancellor, University of Dundee,
Professor Iain Gillepsie.

Members of the university community and public are cordially invited.
