6.2 Informed patient to hold on the overhead trapeze then flex
the unaffected leg. 4

7. Applying the Traction Rope and Bag
7.1 Applied traction weight by tying one end of the traction rope
to the Steinman’s pin 6
7.2. Placed one end of the traction rope to the third pulley
7.3. Tied the traction bag in the traction rope making a square knot.
8. Applying the Suspension Rope and Bag
8.1. Tied the other end of the thigh rope to the lateral junction
of Thomas Splint.
8.2. Attached the suspension rope at the middle of the thigh 5
rope and passed the other end to the first pulley.
8.3. Passed the suspension rope to the suspension bag and
