Solution 1: Show Hidden files and

Folders
Showing hidden files and folder will be a great start if your folder suddenly
disappeared in Windows 11. Sometimes they are actually hidden instead of
missing.

1. Open "This PC" from File Explorer. Click on the "File" tab and select "Change
folder and search options".
2. In the "View" tab, check "Show hidden files, folders, and drives". Click
"Apply" > “OK” to make your files or folder visible.

Folder in Windows 11
If your files or folders are not hidden, it may be accidentally deleted. Restoring

 The restore button will display the number of selected files and their full size. You
can use it to determine the integrity of the recovered files.

 Saving the recovered files to original location may cause data corruption or
further data loss.

Solution 4: Check the Users Folder

Except for user accounts, your files or folder may be moved to another location,

1. Open "This PC" from File Explorer. Then, go to the following path.
 C:\Users\UserName\Documents
 C:\Users\Public
2. Check if the files or folder disappeared in Windows 11 are there. You can copy
and paste them to their original location.
Solution 5: Check the Temp folder
The temp folder is used to store launch configurations and cached data for installed
applications. You can also check this folder for missing files or folders.

1. Navigate to "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Temp" and access the

temp folder.

Solution 6: Check the Disk Index

If your hard drive index is corrupted, it may prevent files from appearing in

select "Properties".
2. In the "Tools" tab, go to the Error checking section and click on the "Check"
button.
3. Click "Scan drive" to search for possible errors. It will fix any found errors and

Solution 7: Modify the Indexing
Options
If your files are still not showing in Windows 11, you can choose to modify the
Indexing Options with the following steps.

1. Press the "Win + S" keys to open the search bar. Type "Indexing options" and
select it.
2. In the Indexing options window, click on the "Advanced" option.
3. Navigate to the “Index Settings” tab, and click on the "Rebuild" button under

Solution 8: Set Antivirus

Configuration
If the folder disappeared in Windows 11 issue still exists, it may be deleted by
