and it’s 4 kinds of causes called communication barrier which are the
physiological, psychological, cultural and linguistic barrier.
Communication Breakdown can be defined as any failure to
communicate or exchange information. Communication breakdown
happens when the message sent by the source (sender) is not
understood by the recipient (receiver).
Communication breakdown occur because of communication
barriers. These barriers are the hindrance that may/could interrupt a
communication.
There are 4 types of Communication Barriers:
1. Physical Barrier- could by loud noises, physical distraction, or any
natural condition that interrupts a communication.
2. Psychological Barrier- are any distraction involving mental
condition that disrupts a communication.
3. Cultural Barrier- a barrier to communication that involves
customs, beliefs, tradition of a speaker in conflict with others.
4. Linguistic Barrier- this type of barrier usually happen when two

language or having same language but different accent that may
cause communication breakdown as they don’t understand what
is the other person saying.
