Pursuant to OUA MEMO 00-0122-0026 on the use of Android-based Electronic


Self-learning Modules and Digitization of Gamified Resources through the ICTS,
continuously innovates and defines learning by developing solutions that will maximized
the use of ICT in instruction. A print-based module is constructive to guide learners in
understanding concepts with the different needed competencies for a particular period
or quarter. However this will require human resources and numerous paper materials
which is not earth friendly. Using emerging technology and software solutions, the
ICTS-EdTech converted the ready-to-print quality assured Self Learning Modules into
Android-based format that is cost efficient and easy to deploy.
Division Memorandum No. 219, s. 2021 – Hybrid (Virtual/Online and Onsite)
Training-Workshop on Digitization and Contextualization of Learning Materials Across
Learning Areas and Grade Levels. This training aims to guide teachers to develop
learning resources that is interactive with the use of ICT.
Hence, with our present situation the proponent decided digitized SLM that
caters to the needs of the pupils for the continuous delivery of quality basic education
using technology. It is designed to help the learners independently understand the
lesson and it is also addresses low level of understanding about the concepts among
learners, absentees and those who fail to complete the necessary requirements due to
sickness, practices and other school related activities and programs. This material will
help the pupils to improve their comprehension and life-long learning skills as well as
their academic performance using 21 st century skills and with the use of their knowledge
in ICT as part of their education.
The learning resource package have three main parts where pupils work at their
own pace with fun and excitement. First is the lesson proper, the post assessment and
the performance task. All activities are based on the self-learning modules which is
interactive.

VI. LEARNING RESOURCE UTILIZATION PLAN


Due to Pandemic Crisis, where issues on modules to be issued by the Grade 4
Teachers were very evident, the proponent thought of formulating this learning material
to be utilized by the Science Subject Teachers in Aguinaldo Elementary School and all
interested Teachers from other Elementary Schools of the Division of Baguio City who
are teaching Science subject. However, the teachers who will be using this LMS will be
asked to evaluate and give comments/ suggestions in the last page of this material for
improvement.

V. SUMMARY OF IMPLEMENTATION OF LEARNING RESOURCE


CONTAINING THE NARRATIVE FEEDBACKS

The Contextualized Learning Resource package through LMS prepared


by the developer was distributed to the three Public Elementary Schools in
the different districts of Baguio City. It was adapted by each school to enrich
student learning in the specified competencies under the Science subject,
being one of the core subjects of the Elementary Grades. The material was
prepared to make it easier for learners to differentiate the changes that
materials undergo.

Generally learners found the material interesting and suitable to their


needs especially in real-life. Moreover, some learners have found it more
interesting on the subject. In other words, the module has been found to be
an effective material during the teaching-learning process with the use of
android phones offline and online/use of desktops and laptops.

The activities incorporated in the material are very interesting. Among


the learners, majority have developed the skill differentiating the different
changes that different materials undergo. Learning how this therefore helped
them increase their knowledge in science easier.
