ANSWER WITH EXPLANATION

Direction (1-5): Scores obtained by student A in VARC: 12.5% *

Scores obtained by student A in all sections: 300 300 = 37.5
Scores obtained by student A in QA: 75% * 300 = Scores obtained by student B in all sections: 480
225 Scores obtained by student B in QA: 50% * 480 =
Scores obtained by student A in DILR: 12.5% * 240
300 = 37.5

Triangle Chart DI Questions for Bank Mains Exam – Set 1
Scores obtained by student B in DILR: 37.5% *
480 = 180
Scores obtained by student B in VARC: 12.5% *
480 = 60
Scores obtained by student C in all sections: 240
Scores obtained by student C in QA: 50% * 240 =
120
Scores obtained by student C in DILR: 12.5% *
240 = 30
Scores obtained by student C in VARC: 37.5% *
240 = 90
Scores obtained by student D in all sections: 420 1. Answer: D
Scores obtained by student D in QA: 25% * 420 = According to question,
105 For student D,
Scores obtained by student D in DILR: 50% * 420 Scores in QA = 105
= 210 Scores in DILR = 210
Scores obtained by student D in VARC: 25% * For student B,
420 = 105 Scores in QA = 240
Scores obtained by student E in all sections: 360 Scores in DILR =180
Scores obtained by student E in QA: 12.5% * 360 Required % = (315/420) * 100 = 75%
= 45 Hence, answer is option D
Scores obtained by student E in DILR: 37.5% *
360 = 135
Scores obtained by student E in VARC: 50% * 2. Answer: E
360 = 180 According to question,
Lowest scores obtained in QA = 45
Lowest scores obtained in VARC = 37.5
Required difference= 45 - 37.5 = 7.5
Hence, answer is option E

3. Answer: C
According to question,

E scored the maximum in VARC Now,
Hence, answer is option C (40% x a – 30% x a) = 40
So, value of a = 40/10 x 100 = 400
4. Answer: A For company Q,
According to question, Let total number of employees = b
Scores of A in QA = 225 Number of employees in Operations = 40% x b
Scores of B in QA = 240 Number of employees in Technical = 60% x b
Scores of D in QA = 105 Number of males in Technical = 75% x 40% x b =
Scores of E in QA = 45 45% x b
Average scores of students A, B, D and E in Females in technical = 60% x b – 45% x b = 15%
section QA = 615/4 =153.75 xb
Hence, answer is option A Number of males in technical department is 35%
more than that of operational department.
5. Answer: B So, number of males in operations = 45% x b/135
According to question, x 100 = (100b/3) %
Student C scored the least mark in DILR section So, number of females in operations = 40% x b –
Hence, answer is option B (100b/3) % = (20b/3) %
Now,
Direction (6-10): (15% x b – 20b/3%) = 100
For company P, So, value of b = 100 x 3/25 x 100 = 1200
Let total number of employees = a Similarly, we can find the data for all companies
Number of employees in Operations = 60% x a
Number of employees in Technical = 40% x a
Number of males in Technical = 25% x 40% x a =
10% x a
Females in technical = 40%a – 10%a = 30% x a
Number of males in technical department is 50%
less than that of operational department.
So, number of males in operations = 2 x 10% x a
6. Answer: C
= 20% x a
According to question,
So, number of females in operations = 60%a –
Value of M = 80 + 400 = 480
20%a = 40% x a

Value of N = 180 Required % change = (1200 – 1000)/1000 x 100
Required % change = (480 – 180)/180 x 100 = = 20%
166.66% Hence answer is option C
Hence answer is option C M = number of males in operational department
of company R
7. Answer: D N = Number of females in operational department
Males in technical department of (Q + S) = 540 + of company S
400 = 940
Females in company S = 100 + 200 = 300 10. Answer: C
Required difference = 940 – 300 = 640 Number of males in operational department of
Hence answer is option D company R = 200
8. Answer: A Number of males in operational department of
Average females in technical department of all company S = 200
companies together = 680/5 = 136 So, M = N
Hence answer is option A Hence answer is option C

9. Answer: C
Total employees in company Q = 1200
Total employees in company S = 1000
