ACTIVITY 1
Think about or reflect on your past. Has your past influenced you in one way or
another? How does your past shape your identity and behavior?

According to my father that my grandfather has a pure blood Chinese from mandarin
group and my grandmother she’s mestiza (mixed race) Ilocana and Spanish. During the
Spanish colonization they are started restricting activities and Chinese immigrant here in
Philippines that’s why my grandfather surname had changed it to avoid deportation, therefore
my father his mixed Chinese Ilocano and my mother she’s pure Filipina IIongga from capiz. By
reason of I always thought in my mind the root of my blood and identity my physical
appearance and behavior is still in my mind until now that make influenced of who am I. My
skin tone is lighter and my nose is pointed small because of I have a portion of Chinese blood.
My father his mix Ilocano from La Union adapted the dialect which is Ilocano but I can spoke a
little Ilocano even though my dialect spoken everyday is Cebuano because of what does our
parent spoken when we’re young same what we’ve followed maybe because of our barangay
has more Cebuano dialect spoken. As our parents live in a simple way it was imprinted in my
mind on how they save money and the priorities due to financial problem is that’s make what I
did now and for the future. My father also influence me his hobbies of cooking especially

because iIocano’s people like vegetable with bagoong isda. My mother also like “biko”,. In
terms of behavior they taught us to be respectful older than us saying Po and Opo and
Salamat. They taught us how to be diligent and obedient morally.

In summary blood rooting of my ancestor has a significant impact to shape of who am I

as the body of my identity. Physically, mentally, morally and culturally as it influence as our
basis on how to live to be able to survive. If we look back and perceive the past we can
continually foster and preserve our unique identity as our historical principles of our life.

ACTIVITY 2 Why do we need to investigate the validity of sources and data in our
history?

A subsequent investigation is a golden rule to construct a legal or void statement or facts to

be able to satisfied one’s end if it is truly existed or happened not by a fictional or imaginary
belief but evidently and credible. Same as of having the standard process of investigation of
the validity of sources and data in our history especially the Philippines is very important of
preservation even up today and to the next generation, why and how? If we have enough
calibrated primary resources of evidence this will be our basis of insight, comprehension,
knowledge of discipline and practice to flourish our identity and functionally in our daily lives.
The significant contribution of our ancestors has big impact on how we reshape our daily
lives and surrounding into a realization of survival mode. It also manifested the impression
to others or it will serve as motivation of how resilience our root ancestors as it will be the
foundation and application of financial growth development of one’s country. The process of
step by step subsequent investigation it modified the ERRORS made by more than decades
to be able to correct our mindset to a justified perception. Proper investigation of sources
also avoid misunderstanding, conflict and arguments risking to a fatal ends life but
the purpose is to unite by establish relevant facts legally. Complex perspective of life it
will be made easy to comprehend thru the help of the formulation of evident valid sources of
data regarding our history. Therefore publishing history is crucial and sensitive as it will
affect our mind to an execution which is critical. Due process of validation must exert to
avoid unhistorical data.
