LESSON 77 (Speaking 16) TIME 0700-0800
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils will be able to
1. Find out about personal information by asking basic questions
2. Describe objects using suitable words and phrases
LEARNING OUTLINE
Pre-lesson:
Mime a free time activity. Pupils guess. Pupils take turns to mime and the class guess. Write the free
time activities on the board at the end.
Lesson development:-
1. Pupils look at the pictures carefully. Ask two pupils to read the speech bubbles aloud. Check pupils
know what to do. They ask and answer in pairs about the picture. Elicit ideas as a class. (HOTS)
2. Pupils prepare their stickers. Play the recording. Pupils check their ideas from SB Activity 1 and put
their stickers in the correct places. They compare answers in pairs. (CD3 14)
3. Look at the Activity 1 again. They choose one of the four children and write about what they are
wearing and what they are doing, using the coloured sticker for reference.
4. Pupils write first draft in their notebooks, using model. Teacher goes around the class to check.
Pupils write a final draft of their description.
5. Pupils play the mime game. Pupils do workbook page 89. (CBA)
Post-lesson:-
Make circle of eight pupils. Give each group a ball of paper. Everyone claps twice. The pupil with the
ball says an item of clothing and then throws the ball to another pupil. Everyone claps twice and then
the pupil with the ball says another item of clothing. (21st CA)

LESSON 79 (Writing 16) TIME 0800-0900
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of the lesson, most of the pupils will be able to
1. Spell a narrow range of familiar high frequency words accurately in guided writing
2. Describe objects using suitable words and phrases
LEARNING OUTLINE
Pre-lesson:
Say a material. Pupils tell you where it comes from and what it is good for.

Lesson development:-
1. Pre-teach strong, warm and cool.
2. Individually, pupils decide which words to write in the sentences. They compare their ideas in pairs.
3. Read the instruction aloud and checking understanding.
4. Brainstorm materials. Hand out scraps of material if you have brought these to the class.
5. Pupils work in pairs. They design, make and label their posters. (CBA)
6. Pairs talk to other pairs about their posters.(21st CA)

Post-lesson:-
Write the following prompt on the board: Today I’ve learnt about …. . Elicit from pupils what they learnt
today. Write it on the board. (HOTS)
