NARRATIVE REPORT ON 1ST QUARTER


PARENTS-TEACHER CONFERENCE

A parent – teacher conference helps to communicate to parents the areas their child excelling in and to
give them specific ideas of how to improve upon their child’s performance in school. Teacher – Parents
conferences should be used as a platform to make a lasting bond with the parent to increase the likelihood of the
academic success for their child. It is not be used as a venue to acknowledge the flaws and inabilities of
students, but as a stepping stone to foster improvement within each child.
Conducting effective parent-teacher conferences can boost family involvement in your classroom and
help promote positive outcomes for the teachers, students, and the school.
September 20 ,2023 , MIS conducted its 1 st Quarter Parents-Teacher Conference. It started at 4:30 PM
in our classroom. Before the conference, the parents were asked to sign on the attendance sheet. The meeting
started with a prayer led by one of my parent.
I discussed the school canteen operation and the detailed pieces of information about the school
canteen operation. I discussed the following:

a) DepEd Order 8, S.2007


b) Procedural Guidance for School-Managed Canteen
c) Specific Guidelines for School-Managed Canteen
d) Food to be served at School Canteen
e) The proceeds of the net income of school-canteen operations

Additional to that I discussed also information about the school-managed canteen. I also urge the
parents to continue to support the school’s program for the development of the learners and the school. I told the parent
parents that they should make sure their children are familiar with the grade, section, and adviser of their children also
wearing of school uniform and school ID is properly strict monitoring will be implemented as well as Checking of
Pupil’s Attendance every day to Monitor the Pupils Absent on that day.

Another thing, strictly rules need to inform the Adviser of their children about their concerns so that will
settle first before going to others . Pupils should practice proper hygiene and grooming, girls’ hair should be tied, and
boys should have a haircut. And children should wear clean uniforms. Discussion on the reading progress of pupils and
attendance.
I also discussed how it will affect the performance in their class. I explained to them that parents need to
support or guide their children at home for improve their reading and study habit. Addition to that , I informed the
parents of transferees that they need to comply with necessary documents like SF10, and Birth Certificate. I also
discussed the grading system that parents on it. I informed them also about Registration of Kabscout. I encourages the
parents to register their children in Kabscout while it is still free.
Additional to that, I informed them about the upcoming activities which are Gulayan sa Paaralan, Eco –
Project , MTAP and others. I told them to that there will be additional grades whoever can bring plants, empty bottles and
animals pots.I informed them about the wellness campus in the school and it is important that the pupils learn it for their
health together with the parents and make it a habit to always do it and teach it to their children at the same time they
need to do it at home and it is necessary to take a picture of them with their children and show it to the teacher.
Lastly , the conduct of election for HRPTA officers.
At the end of conversations and long explanations of the important topics, parents agreed that they
will continue to support the program of the school for the development of the school and their children.

The conference ended at 5:35 PM.
