Letter of Appointment
Dear Ms. Elva Theu Hui Xin,

We are pleased to offer you the position of Junior Bubble Barista in B&T Cafe Pte. Ltd. (“the
"Company") upon the following terms and conditions:

1. DATE OF COMMENCEMENT
1.1. Your employment will commence on 9th May 2022.
1.2. Your Probation Period will be three (3) months from the date of commencement. The
Company may extend the probation period at its sole discretion.
1.3. Upon successful completion of probationary period, the Company will be issuing a Letter of
Confirmation.

2. SALARY, ALLOWANCE & SCOPE OF WORK


2.1. Your starting basic monthly salary will be S$ 1,800.00/- per Month.
2.2. You will be reporting to Outlet Manager directly.
2.3. You are entitled to a $6 Meal Allowance per working day.
2.4. For the above stated salary amount, you are entitled to Overtime claim, if you have met
the required terms and conditions. Please refer to the Employee Handbook for OT Rates.
2.5. Payment of salary will be on the last day of each month.
2.6. Any bonus or declarations of bonus shall be made at the sole and absolute discretion of the
Company. In determining the amount of bonus, the Company shall consider your work
performance, amongst other factors.
2.7. Your performance will be review periodically and the Company shall make adjustment to
your salary as it sees fit.
2.8. The company shall deduct from your salary and bonus all such sums it is authorized to
deduct under the laws of Singapore, whether for your share of Central Provident Fund
Contributions, withholding tax or otherwise.
2.9. Upon Confirmation, your basic monthly salary will be adjusted to S$ 1,900.00/- per Month.

3. WORKING HOURS & LOCATIONS


3.1. The Company’s working hours are Monday to Sunday, from 10.00am to 8.00pm. You are
entitled to one (1) hour of lunch break every day, and two (2) rest day per week.
3.2. Your working outlets will be base at, 1 TANJONG PAGAR PLAZA, #01-07 SINGAPORE
082001, the Company may make other arrangements at its sole discretion for any changes
in working location.
3.3. You may be required to work beyond working hours to discharge your duties at the sole
discretion of the Company.
3.4. The Company reserves the right, at its sole discretion to revise, amend or extend the
working hours should the need arise.

4. ANNUAL LEAVE
4.1. Besides the gazette public holidays, you are entitled to seven (7) days of paid annual leave
upon the completion of one year’s service from the date of confirmation of your
employment.
4.2. Upon confirmation of your employment and before the completion of one year’s service,
you are entitled to pro-rated paid annual leave.
4.3. Any leave balance not cleared by the last day of December shall be forfeited. For Special
Situations, the Company may make other arrangements at its sole discretion.
4.4. Unpaid leave shall be granted at the sole discretion of the Company. The Company reserves
the right to terminate your employment without notice if you are absent from work on
unpaid leave without prior approval from the Company.
4.5. You are entitled to two (2) days of compassionate leave per death and one (1) day of
compassionate leave per critical illness of your immediate family members upon
confirmation. Approval of compassionate leave shall be at the sole discretion of the
Company.

5. SICK LEAVE

5.1. You must notify the Company and your immediate supervisor as soon as practicable if you
are unable to work for medical reasons.
5.2. You are required to produce, without demand, a medical certificated in all cases where you
are absent from work for medical reasons.
5.3. You are entitled to fourteen (14) days of paid sick leave per calendar year if hospitalization
is not necessary. Upon confirmation of your employment, Sick leave during probation
period shall be approved at the sole discretion of the Company.
5.4. You may get up to Sixty (60) days of hospitalization leave (inclusive of the fourteen (14)
working days referred to in the foregoing sentence) if hospitalization is necessary.

6. MATERNITY AND CHILDCARE LEAVE (If Applicable)


6.1. You are entitled to sixteen (16) weeks of Maternity Leave.
6.2. You will be entitled to the Maternity Leave as per Singapore Law. Such leave is to be taken
on doctor’s written orders. The maternity leave will be on a fully paid basis so long the
Employee has served for at least ninety (90) days before the date of first confinement.
6.3. A female Employee on leave because of a miscarriage or abortion shall be considered as
only normal sick leave.
6.4. You are entitled to six (6) days of employer-paid childcare leave per calendar year if you
have any child below age seven (7) in that year.

7. TERMINATION AND NOTICE


7.1. During the probationary period, either party may terminate the contract by giving two (2)
weeks’ notice or the equivalent of two (2) week’s salary in lieu notice. If resignation was
initiated by employee during probation period, you are required to bear the full cost of
work permit application fee and insurance fee.
7.2. Upon confirmation of your employment, either party may terminate the contract by giving
one (1) months’ notice or one (1) month’s salary in lieu of notice.
7.3. If resignation was initiated by employee during probation period, you are required to bear
the full cost of work permit application fee and insurance fee.
7.4. The Company reserves the right not to give any reasons for termination.
7.5. The Company, however, has the right to give immediate notice before terminating your
services if you are guilty of misdemeanor, misconduct, negligence, or breach of any of the
term of this Letter of Appointment.

7.6. Upon the termination of your employment, you shall return to the Company all documents,
records, items, and materials, in your possession or custody belonging to the Company or
its clients and you shall not retain any copies (including electronic or soft copies) thereof.
7.7. During your notice period, you shall handover all documents and materials relating to your
work and ensure a smooth transition of your duties and responsibilities. If you fail to
complete the handover during the notice period, the Company shall be fully entitled to
require and compel you to stay two (2) more weeks after the notice period has ended to
complete the hand over.

8. CONFIDENTIALITY
8.1. You shall not disclose to any third party any confidential information obtained during your
course of employment unless expressly authorized by the Company.
8.2. Confidential information for the purposes of this contract includes and is not limited to
trade secret, business plans, strategies, financial information, and any other information
that will affect the Company’s competitive position.
8.3. Your obligations to maintain confidentiality and secrecy shall apply after your employment
until such time that the information is no longer confidential or has been made public by
the Company.
8.4. You shall not without prior written consent of the Company destroy, make copies,
duplicate, or reproduce in any form the Company’s confidential information.

Please confirm your acceptance of the above terms and conditions by signing and returning to us
the duplicate copy of this Letter within seven (7) days from the date of this Letter.

2. Preparation and maintaining the freshness of ingredients.
3. Maintain Cleanliness at workplace.
4. Involved with opening and closing of the outlet.
5. Always Adhering the Food & Safety procedure.
6. Manage goods inventory and stock take.
7. Serving of beverages according to SOP.
8. Ad-hoc cashiering duties when system is down.
9. Brainstorming of new recipes.
10. Preparing and Sending of Outlet’s Daily Report. (Sales, Inventory, Employee)
11. Ad-hoc duties assigned.
