Topic: Traditional products of your country.

Well, Today I’m gonna talk about one of the most famous traditional products of
my country, it’s conical hats.
Actually, I cannot remember precisely since I have a terrible memory for dates but
I first heard about it probably 10 years ago on the Internet.
At that time I had just passed my final exam with flying colors so I decided to chill
out by watching a Youtube video. Coincidently, a video named “One of the most
valuable traditional products in VN” popped up, and curiously, I checked it out and
I was absolutely hooked by the content about the conical, a traditional symbol of
Vietnamese culture.
Conical hat-making has been passed down from generation to generation. A
conical hat always has two layers of leaves. Craftsmen must be skillful to make the
two layers very thin. What special is that they then add poems and paintings about
Vietnamese sceneries between two layers, creating the famous poetic conical hats.
Conical hat brings a lot of benefits to Vietnamese people. Firstly, the conical hat is
used as a protection from the sun and rain, helping Vietnamese farmers with farm
work. Secondly, it can be used for fashional purposes, for instance, many
Vietnamese women still proudly wear elegant pieces of a traditional conical hat.
As for how I feel about it, I’d say said as a Vietnamese I feel very proud of our
conical hat – a symbol of my country’s culture and beauty and I strongly suppose
that Vietnamese people need to preserve and promote its cultural values.

Topic: River/Lake in your country

Well, today I’m gonna talk about one of the most important rivers in my country,
it’s Ba Be Lake.
Actually, I cannot remember precisely when it was since I have a terrible memory
for dates but I first heard about it probably 4 years ago on the Internet.
At that time, I had passed the final exams with flying colors so I decided to chill
out by watching a Youtube video. Coincidently, a video named “The largest lake in
Vietnam” popped up, and curiously, I checked it out and I was absolutely hooked
by the content about the Ba Be Lake – the biggest Vietnamese lake.
Ba Be lake is located in the northern province of Vietnam. This is the largest
freshwater lake in Vietnam which is more than 6.5 square kilometers. The lake was
formed about 200 million years ago and now, Ba Be Lake is an ideal eco-tourism
destination with amazing landscape and biodiversity.
The Lake brings a lot of benefits to Vietnamese people. Firstly, the Ba Be lake is
an abundant source of fresh water for people in Vietnam. Secondly, this lake is a
famous destination that attracts tourists every year and brings a lot of profits. Last
but not least, the lake is home to a lot of aquatic creatures, contributing to the
biodiversity of Vietnam.
As for how I feel about it, I’d say that I feel very proud of my country’s lake and I
strongly believe that our Vietnamese should preserve it.
