5S STANDARD CHECKPOINTS

SEIRI
 Is there no things under the desks or worktables?
 Are there no unnecessary unusable items in drawers, cabinets, toilets, conference rooms and hallways before
work?
 Are there no outdated notices, books, magazines, posters or unnecessary personal pictures on desktop,
drawers or boards?
 Are there no wastes or items left alone or are they placed at trash cans or designated locations.
 Are there no documents or things other than table organizers or file trays on desk top, drawers or even in
record files?

SEITON
 Are necessary documents, materials and chairs properly and neatly placed at designated location after use?
 Are contents in each cabinet labeled at outer spaces?
 Are files in the cabinets and drawers labeled for easy retrieval?
 Are wirings and cables set neatly and safely and in good appearance?
 Are necessary items in drawers and cabinets arranged in orderly manner?

SEISO
 Are the floors, ceilings, walls and light bulbs clean?
 Are desks, chairs, cabinets, office machines, trays or racks clean?
 Are wires, cables or pipes not dirty, hardened with oil or dust?
 Is the toilet has toilet paper, soap, enough water and mirror?
 Are the toilets, conference rooms, boards, erasers, chalks or markers, and utensils always clean, useful and
tidy?

SEIKETON
 Do people switch off lights, conditioners and fans after use or rest?
 Do people eat, read, relax or fell asleep at designated places and time?
 Do people properly return books, tools and other common materials to their designated location after use?
 Do people dressed up and groomed hair neatly?
 Do people report, return for work or assemble on time or not tardy?

SEIKETON
 Do people perform daily cleaning or as scheduled autonomously?
 Are workplaces stable or safe for people to work?
 Are machines and other equipment well maintained and in good condition?
 Do people respectfully remind others to avoid further violations on 5S?
 Are regular 5S checks conducted as planned?
