Incident Summary: **UPDATE** On November 17, 2022, the suspect in this Homicide was identified as
Isaiah Hall M/B 20 YOA. Mr. Hall was arrested without incident and is charged with Murder in the death
of Steven K. Simpson II.

On Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 10:54PM, Columbus Police Officers were called to the 600 block of
Gilbert St. on a report of a shooting. On arrival, officers found an adult male suffering from an apparent
gunshot wound. CFD Medic 8 responded and pronounced the male deceased at 11:01PM. The
decedent’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The circumstances that lead to this shooting are still under investigation.
