the above animals are over 6 months of age and are to be kept, they are already on the holding, and must be eartagged to comply to the Order (article 4 (1))
two kids have been born, the eartag of dam must be recorded (article 3 (2) (a)), the dead kid should be disposed of at the knackeryard.
the keeper wishes to keep the kid past the age of 6 months and it is not planned to go to the abattoir, therefore it must be double tagged before it is 6 months of age (article 3 (2) (c))
the kid died and must be disposed of at the knackersyard, if the lamb has an eartag it must be recorded, if no eartag then the tag of the dam may be recorded for management purposes
and the cause of death must be recorded if known (article 3 (2) (b)) 2
the kid is less than 12 months of age and going to the abattoir, it must be single tagged to identify the holding (article 5 (2) ) and the event recorded as a movement off the holding (article 3 (2) (d))
the animal is off to a show and so the movement off must be recorded (article 3 (2) (d) and article 5 (1)
the animal is returning from the show and so the movement on the holding must be recorded (article 3 (2) (e) and article 5 (1))
the animal has lost an eartag, it must be replaced with a new tag with the same number or fitted with two eartags with a new number,
the old tag remaining must not be removed unless approval has been given by the States Vet (article 7).The event must be recorded (article 3 (2) (f))
