DESCRIPTION OF GRAPH:
AIR POLLUTANT INDEX (MAX) 2010 – 2015
The bar graph shows the comparison between the lowest and highest level of air pollutant
index (max) in 7 cities, namely Miri, Cheras Kuala Lumpur, Bandaraya Melaka, Kota Kinabalu,
Larkin Johor, Kuching, and Seberang Jaya, from 2010 to 2015.
Overall, the average of these air pollutant indexes in Kuching in 2015 was significantly higher
than the average of the other six cities (209). The problems that were observed about the
air pollution in Kuching were caused by the vehicles on the roads, which produce carbon
monoxide. The air pollution index (max) in Bandaraya Melaka from 2012 was substantially
lower than Miri. The maximum level of the air pollutant index is 83 in Bandaraya Melaka.
The number of air pollutant indexes (max) rose slightly more in Kota Kinabalu in 2013 than
in other cities, which are Miri from 2010 and Seberang Jaya from 2016. The maximum level
of the air pollutant index in Kota Kinabalu in 2013 was 90. According to observation, every
year each city records the amount of air pollution that is there in order to reduce it.
As is presented in the graph, the maximum level of air pollutant index in Cheras, Kuala
Lumpur, is remarkably higher than that of three other cities, namely Miri, Kota Kinabalu, and
Seberang Jaya.
