More than 180 Rohingya Muslims arrived by boat in Indonesia's Aceh province, fleeing desperate conditions in Myanmar and refugee camps in Bangladesh. A local police spokesperson confirmed 184 Rohingya had landed in healthy condition. Rohingya have attempted to reach neighboring countries like Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Indonesia by boat between November and April when seas are calm to escape persecution in Myanmar, where a citizenship law denied them nationality and rights.

INDONESIA’S ACEH by: raya and yuki THOPIC More than 180 Rohingya Muslims landed in Indonesia's Aceh province on Monday, officials said, the latest among hundreds who have fled by boat from desperate conditions in Myanmar and in camps in Bangladesh.
A spokesperson for the local police confirmed by phone that
184 Rohingya had arrived in East Aceh district and were "all in healthy condition." For years many Rohingya have attempted in rickety wooden boats to reach neighbouring countries like Thailand and Bangladesh, and to Muslim-majority Malaysia and Indonesia, especially between November and April when the seas are calm. THE PROBLEM? Syarifuddin, 15, said he had been at sea for the past 15 days without food and had left Bangladesh for a better life.
"Also to get released from persecution
that I had suffered," he added. Myanmar passed a citizenship CAUSE AND law that denied Rohingya people nationality and left them EFFECT stateless. Over the years, the Rohingya people experienced continuous violence and persecution and were denied rights granted to Myanmar citizens. THANK U!! we think just enought from us
