Internal combustion engine

Introduction
Provides power is used on gasoline or diesel fuel is burned to generate mechanical
motion. Components of the internal combustion engine is:
-the cylinder block assembly or monoblock
-the valve train
-the intake system
-system exhaust
-the lubrication system
-the cooling system

Motor gasoline internal combustion

It is the mixture of air and fuel. The compressed mixture is ignited and powers the
vehicle

How to generate mechanical motion

The mixture causes explosion pushes the piston and rod connecting wing and the
crankshaft
Converting into rotary motion.
Four cycles
Means that the piston moves along the cylinder length 4 times to complete a
combustion cycle.
Bore and stroke displacement
The diameter refers to the mediated cylinder.
Stroke
The race is the distance traveled by the piston top dead center (TDC) to bottom
dead center (BDC).
Displacement
The displacement of the cylinder is the amount of air that moves or displaces the
piston when it moves from the point PMS PMI cylinder.
Time of admission
It is time that the mixture of air and fuel enters the cylinder.
Time Compression
It is the time in which the blend compressed.
Completion ratio
It is the volume before and after compression is generally 8-1.
Time explosion
It is the time in which the lights blend through the spark plug.
Exhaust Time
It is time that the burned gases from the cylinder is ejected.
Set of cylinder block monoblock
The monoblock engine mount and is working piston, connecting rod and crankshaft
in the monoblock.
Major Components
Monoblock designs online
The line engines in general mind has 3, 4.5 or 6 cylinders.
Although the two cylinder banks are all still connected cylinders.
Design of monoblock type v
Motors in "v" commonly have 6, 8, 10 and 12 cylinders occasionally.
Cylinder liner
A cylinder liner is a hardened steel cylinder that is placed on the boom.
Shirts are casts of a hard material to contain the combustion within the cylinders
reduce degaste produced. It also has two types of cylinder liner wet dry shirts and
shirts.
Wet shirts are so named because they have direct contact with the engine coolant.
Dry liners do not have direct contact with the engine coolant.
CARTER "
The crankcase is the oil tank to the bottom of monoblock fixed
The number of carriers varies depending on the length of the crankshaft and
cylinder arrangement. Carriers have lubricating oil passage as the crankshaft
rotates against the bearing metal. These passages are linean with oil holes in
bearing metals.
crankshaft
The crank shaft transforms the movement upwards and abalo piston into rotary
motion, which is required to drive the vehicle wheels.
The crankshaft supports the forces of the pulses produced by the explosion racing
pistons. The crankshaft generally made of heavy cast iron and high strength.
The counterweights allow balancing the crankshaft and prevent the vibrations
during high speed rotation.
Tilting of the main bearings.
The stumps of the main crankshaft bearings are highly polished and are
manufactured with a precise roundness to rotate properly in the inserts or metal
bearing.
Stumps and crankshafts
The trunnions on a crankshaft are those areas which serve as bearing surface for
the crankshaft itself, or for fixing the connecting rods to the crankshaft.
A common design for a 4-cylinder engine line has five main bearing journals and
four stumps to the cranks.
A piston is connected to each crankpin using a connecting rod.
main bearings
The metal of the main bearings supporting the crankshaft within the main bearing
journals and the main bearing caps. The metals of the main crankshaft bearings
are split circular sections which are wrapped around the main crankshaft journals.
Bearing lubrication
The metal upper bearing is generally oil hole, which allows the oil flow to the
bearing surface of the main journal.
Crankshaft Vibration Damper
While the crankshaft is very resistant, has a certain capacity flexibility. During the
explosion stroke, the crankshaft is twisted a bit and then returns to its setting,
original. A hot idle, this twisted and untwisted be repeated up to five times per
second.
Cranks
The struts transfer the movement of the piston to the connecting rod journal on
the crankshaft. A steel piston pin connects the piston to the connecting rod. The
piston pin allows the piston pin into the small end of the connecting rod. The big
end of the connecting rod is connected to the crankshaft bearing cap to the
connecting rod.
pistons
The piston crankshaft transfers power generated by burning air-fuel mixture.
The top of the piston is referred to as the piston crown. The top of the piston
includes several grooves where the compression rings and oil are installed. The
bottom of the piston below the ring grooves, called skirt.
The piston is inserted through the bore of the piston to connect the piston to the
connecting rod.
Piston clearance
Although the piston fits snugly in the cylinder bore, the piston does not completely
seal the combustion chamber. The sealing is performed by use of the piston rings
fitted in the grooves cer.ca piston top. To make room for Ios piston rings and
lubricating oil must be maintained, clearance between the outer edge of the piston
and the cylinder wall. This clearance allows the lubricating oil passing into the top
of the cylinder. The clearance prevents the engine also locks in the event that one
of the pistons is too expand due to overheating
Piston rings
Piston rings seal the combustion chamber where the air / fuel is ignited. Besides
sealing the combustion chamber, the piston rings scrape oil from the cylinder walls
and directed again toward the crankcase. Piston rings, also helps transfer heat
from the piston to the cylinder wall.
The two top rings are called compression rings. Generally manufactured from cast
steel with chrome plating on the facing surface of the cylinder wall. Compression
rings with different designs are arranged on the edges. The lower ring is called oil
control ring. The oil control ring generally comprises several parts assembled in a
specific order in the same slot of the piston. A typical control ring has two oil
scraper rings separated by an expander.
