Manage drawing health


In this exercise, you will recover a damaged drawing file and purge unreferenced items to
reduce the file size of another drawing.

Learning objectives:

• Recover damaged drawing files.


• Purge unreferenced blocks.

1. Open the drawing Mechanical
Sample.dwg. AutoCAD detects errors and
suggests canceling the open and using
the RECOVER command. Click Yes.

2. Select Recover.

3. Review the damaged file report dialog


and then click Close.
