Lesson Plan: Learning the Concept of Numbers using the Filipino Sign

Language for Learners with Hearing Impairment.

Grade level: 1st Grade

I. Objectives:
At the end of this lesson,the student will be able to:
1. Count the numbers 1-10 using Filipino sign language.
I. Values Integration
A. Numeracy
B. Time frame: 45 minutes
C. Materials
• Flashcards
• Plastic cups
II. Procedure
A. Preliminary Activities
Greet the student, get his attention, and ask him to sit properly.
B. Procedure:
Introduction(10 minutes)
•Begin by introducing the concept of numbers from 1-10 and their
sign language.
•Use plastic cups to show the numbers from 1-10 and their sign
language.
C. Identifying and sign language the numbers(20 minutes)
• Introduce the first number, using the flashcard.
• Ask the learner to try to imitate the first sign language in the flash
card.
•Repeat the process until to the last number.
D. Using the numbers sign language in daily life.(10 minutes)
• Using flashcards show them how can they apply and use it in their
daily life.

• Encourage the student to use numbers sign language in daily life,


such as by looing at the clock.
Application for Learners with Intellectual Disability:

● Provide additional support and assistance to students with


intellectual and learning disabilities during the introduction and
identification of numbers.
● Use concrete examples and real-life objects to help them
understand the concept of numbers.
● Break down the instructions into smaller steps and provide visual
prompts or cues to support their learning.
● Allow for more time and repetition to ensure comprehension and
mastery.

Application for Learners with Visual Impairment:

● Use tactile materials, such as braille numbers.


● Incorporate tactilematerials and auditory aids.
● Ensure that students have access to tactile materials and auditoryl
cues to reinforce their understanding.
● Provide a tactile materials or utilize technology, such as audio
records, to support their learning.

E. Activity Time
• Teacher will paste the number flashcards in the board.
• Learner will paste the Filipino sign language flash cards in the board
in the right beside the number.

Performance Task.
Count the numbers from 1-10 using your toy at home. Ask your
parent or guardian to video tape you and send it to your teacher.
