Insight HOD’24 Assignment:

General Instructions:

• You will be qualified for the interview round only on the completion of the
assignment.
• Before you start with your assignment it is advised that you take groundwork
from the Heads of Insight'23. (groundwork- interacting with last year's core to
know in depth about the departments you are applying for)
• You must complete the assignments of all the departments that you have applied for.
• You are required to answer all the questions.
• No further delays will be permitted.
• Submit your assignment in a PDF format only.
• You need to answer general questions only once irrespective of the department you are
applying for.
General Questions
1. Describe yourself in 150 words.
2. What do you understand about Insight and why do you think you will be an ideal fit
for Insight?

Managerial Questions

1. The job of your department might become monotonous, how would you ensure that
your members stay motivated throughout the tenure? Suggest at least 5 ways to do the
same.

1. Often the concepts researched by Business Events and Informal Events seem to
overlap with each other. How would you make sure that both departments operate
in a specific domain? Suggest 3 concepts that would be appropriate for Business
Events.

incorporating all the following details:

- No. of participants required in each round
- Judgment criteria
- Execution of the round

3. Planet-B was a very successful event in the last 3 years and has created its
own benchmarks by the efforts put in by the Business Events Department. Define
the journey of Planet B from just a thought to reality. What kind of upliftment
can you bring in it? Explain its timeline and plan of action from 15th Sept to 15th
Feb.
4. How would you ensure that your department is self-sufficient and will bring in
funds for itself?
5. In the events department, research plays a very important role. Pick a concept that
you have previously mentioned in the assignment, do some research on that
particular concept and explain your understanding of the concept.

Financial Events

1. Finance is a very vast subject to dive in. Suggest 3 concepts that would be
appropriate for Financial Events.
2. According to you, what should the ideal event flow be? Give us one event

3. Pericullum is the flagship event of Financial Events. What is your understanding


of the event? What new innovations can you bring to the table? Do you think it
needs to be scaled up, if yes how do you plan to scale it up?

5. In the events department, research plays a very important role. Pick a concept that
you have previously mentioned in the assignment do some research on that

Economic Events

1. Economics is a very vast subject to dive in. Suggest 3 concepts that would be
appropriate for Economic Events.
2. According to you, what should the ideal event flow be? Give us one event with
the following details:

- Execution of the round
- Detail description of each round

3. Carnival has been one of the most interesting and popular events of Insight. Do
you wish to organize a Carnival this year? If yes, state the entire plan of ideation
and execution from scratch mentioning all the requirements and dependencies.

4. Mention one unique venue for Carnival. Tell us the number of stalls you would
want. What games are you planning to keep on the stalls? Suggest at least 5
games.
5. Dare 2 Dream has always been a soothing and exhilarating experience for team
Insight. How do you plan to conduct D2D this year? Mention the various
requirements and plan of execution for the same. Also provide us with a list of
artists and segments that you would like to bring on board this year.

2. State the basic logistical requirements for the entire festival (including the Carnival,
Kartavya, Insight Business Conclave, and Global Youth Economic Summit).
3. Prepare an optimum budget for this department (give details).
4. How do you plan to monetize this department?
5. How do you plan on bringing travel partner deals? Suggest 5 creative deliverables to
offer them and prepare a pitch for the same.
6. Create a database of printing vendors, including any personnel contacts that you
might have (at least 10).
7. Prepare a detailed plan of action for logistics from September 2023 – February 2024.

Creatives

1. What is the Job profile of this department?


2. Ten creative ideas for decorations and promotion of Insight at (include images):

relations with them (including outstation).
3. Prepare a pitch for bringing the CL on board to participate in Insight.
4. How do you plan to increase participation in the Insight Business Conclave and the
Global Youth Economic Summit?

5. State any five incentives that you can offer to contingent leaders of other colleges.
6. Give a plan of action for the CL meet (including location, games, and your target for
the same).

6. What according to you should be the ideal ratio between cafe stalls and marketing
stalls at Insight Carnival.

2. List down the sectors and mediums that can be used to increase our outreach. Mention
the way you will tap them.

4. List at least 10 ways for external PR for Insight’24.
5. Prepare a Unique PR campaign for GYES, Kartavya, IBC, Carnival and D2D. Do you
have any innovative ideas to replace the basic PR Announcements?
6. Curate a timeline and POA for this department.
7. What possible influencer genres would you explore for Insight Launch? Name any 10
influencers/speakers that you find ideal for Insight Launch.

2. Insight FAQ’s was one of the most popular segments of Insight’23. Give 5 similar
ideas of engaging content on social media.
3. Give 5 ways to increase the reach of our social media content.
4. We plan on releasing Insight magazine. What should the prominent elements be for
the same?
5. Write an introduction for Insight magazine covering the Business, Finance and
Economics aspect as well as the Insight legacy in about 300 words.
6. Suggest 10 innovative theme ideas for Insight’24 on the lines of Insight. Also suggest
5 innovative ideas to unveil the theme.
