We’re excited that SlideShare is now part of the Scribd family!

Members of
SlideShare’s community have created an incredible archive of over 40 million
presentations — a fantastic counterpart to Scribd’s own library of more than 100
million community-uploaded documents. We know that SlideShare users may have
questions about what Scribd is and what this means for their SlideShare account,
and we’re happy to help. Check out the most frequently asked questions below!

What is Scribd?
For a monthly subscription fee, Scribd offers access to magazines, books,
audiobooks, documents, and more to help readers feed their curiosity and advance
their careers. The service is available across iOS and Android devices, as well as
via web browsers. Based in San Francisco with employees across 20 countries, Scribd
is committed to helping its one million readers and authors flourish.

Why has SlideShare joined with Scribd?

SlideShare has been part of LinkedIn for 8 years and has provided a unique value to
its community of authors and creators. Recognizing LinkedIn’s focus on building a
professional community for people to give and get help to grow in their careers, we
believe Scribd is best positioned to maintain and grow SlideShare’s value to its 40
million content authors. As a digital library leader, Scribd is the destination for
readers and authors to create and share vibrant, informative content. For this
reason, we’re excited to see SlideShare and Scribd come together.
