Objective of Leadership Training

The objectives of leadership training are to develop and enhance the skills, knowledge, and

qualities necessary to effectively lead and inspire individuals or groups towards achieving

common goals. This training program is design to provide participants with the tools and

insights needed to excel in leadership roles.

What is Leadership?

Leadership is the art and science of getting things done through the willing efforts of others.

Leaders can come from various contexts, including business, politics, sports, and community

organizations. Different leadership styles and approaches exist, ranging from authoritative and

autocratic to participative and transformational. Leadership isn't solely about holding a position

of authority; it's about earning respect, building trust, and empowering others to achieve their

full potential while working toward shared objectives.

Lead by example!

A leader must serve as a role model for their subordinates. Leaders are trained to embody the

standard in every aspect of their lives.

Foster Team Growth!

The keys to a prosperous organization are unity, collaboration, and teamwork.

Embrace self-discovery and personal advancement!

Leaders should be familiar with their strengths and weaknesses. They should consistently seek

ways to improve themselves physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.

Attain technical and tactical excellence!

Leaders are expected to excel in the technical and tactical aspects of their respective fields.

Embrace responsibility and be accountable for your deeds!

Leaders must acknowledge their accountability for the outcomes of their actions, even when

they don't meet expectations.

Make well-considered and timely choices!

Leaders must possess sound decision-making skills, developing critical thinking and logical

reasoning.

Understand your team and prioritize their welfare!

A competent leader's primary concern should be the well-being of their subordinates. They

must ensure the safety of their team and understand their needs and challenges.

Keep your team informed!

When team members comprehend the purpose behind their tasks, they become more

supportive. Leaders must be adept at instilling purpose, motivation, and dedication in their

subordinates.
Cultivate responsibility in your team members!

An effective leader motivates their team to work for the greater good, fostering an

understanding that actions impact everyone involved in the collective effort.

Ensure tasks are understood, supervised, and completed!

Merely instructing your team isn't sufficient; you must guarantee that tasks are comprehended

and completed correctly. Tasks should be communicated, monitored, and finalized properly.

Forge a strong team!

The foundation of a successful organization lies in unity, cooperation, and teamwork. When

team members collaborate harmoniously, their mission success rates increase. Employ your unit

in accordance with its capabilities.

Allocate tasks according to capabilities!

Assign specific tasks to individuals with the appropriate skills. As a leader, it's your responsibility

to match tasks with your team members' abilities.

Remember:

Leadership is not inherent: it depends upon traits which can be developed and upon the

application of techniques which can be learned. (Saclote & Rabago, 1995)
