Opinion essay

It is a widely held view that teenagers spend too much time using electronic
gadgets, but is it really true? We hear it from the older generation, from our parents
all the time. “Don't be on the phone anymore, you have been on it all day,” and so
on.
In my opinion, there is certainly some truth to this, but today's generation
simply cannot do without modern technology. But everything in moderation. I do not
like it at all when small children spend a lot of time on electronic gadgets. Moreover,
I do not understand how their parents can buy so expensive and, in this age,
unnecessary devices for them. The sight of a toddler sitting in a car with a tablet does
not leave me calm. And this is carried over in some people to the period of teenagers
when addiction grows.
What I propose is that parents should not buy electronic gadgets for their
growing children until they need to. If this is prevented, the children's addiction,
which would manifest itself when the child grows up to become a teenager, will not
increase.
To sum up, it all depends on the parents and the upbringing of their children.
