Key responsibilities/accountabilities

1. Complete all reporting tasks as required on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
including processing of information in the accounting software
2. Manage job costing and invoicing
3. Process payroll
4. Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
∙ All tax laws- PAYE, VAT, WHT, Social Security etc

5. Ensure strong financial control throughout operations and over local procurement
6. Improve debtor collections and invoicing processes
7. Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payables and receivables
8. Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
9. Assist with any project support that may be required from a financial point of view
10. Assist with tax and statutory audits
11. Manage fixed assets register and ensure operations team adequately safeguard
assets 12. Liaise with all stakeholders to improve financial procedures
13. Any other reasonable request expected of the role

Skills and Knowledge

∙ Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

∙ In-depth understanding of accounting principles

∙ Awareness of business trends

∙ Familiarity with financial accounting statements

∙ Experience with general ledger functions and month end/year end process ∙
Hands on experience with accounting software packages

∙ Accuracy and attention to details

∙ Create ownership to results and decisions

∙ Create enthusiasm and creativity

∙ Good communication and interpersonal skills

∙ High proficiency in Microsoft applications and general IT literacy.

Formal Education and Qualifications

∙ BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant program ∙

Relevant certification (ACCA, ICA or CIMA) preferred.
