Christmas day is one of the most celebrated days in the world.

As for me, it is
indeed my favorite time of the year. I mean, who doesn’t find joy from the sweet
melodious voices of carolers? Who aren’t dazzled with the numerous lights on display?
Who aren’t enticed with the nostalgic aroma of puto bungbong and bibingka?

Beyond doubt, Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year. However,
Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing. It is likewise a season of reflection. This
season gives us an opportunity to pause and reflect. With this, we must halt temporarily
and mull over the things that truly matter. We must feel elated for what we have
achieved throughout the year. We must likewise feel joyous for the challenges we have
surpassed this year.

Henceforth, I would like to take this precious opportunity to express my utmost

gratitude to everyone who took part in the success not only of this event but also to the
realization of our visions and goals as an organization, the President of the Philippine
Counselors’ League, Hon. Pablo C. Ortega, our Secretary General, Hon. Tanya De
Guzman, our Treasurer, Hon. Lucia Esperanza O. Valero, our Auditor, Hon. Jane
Alminiano Gonzales, our Board of Directors, Hon. Pepito P. Alba Jr., Hon. Genoveva L.
Obra, Hon. Rucio B. Culo, and Hon. Herminia M. Ordinario and everyone working to
solidify our already formidable foundation.

On behalf of the Philippine Counselors’ League, La Union Chapter, we extend

our greetings to each and every one present here today. As we conclude this program,
let us never forget that the true spirit of Christmas lies in our hearts. Having said this, I
genuinely hope that the love, joy, and happiness of this yuletide season be with us all
not only this Christmas but in the coming year as well! Best wishes for a happy and
merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
