1) First Experiment
a) Entropy System at H2O + NaOH Reaction
10 mL of H2O

Put in test tube 1

Measured at the temperature and noted
Temperature (T1)
Added half spatula spoon of weighted solid NaOH
Shaken until it dissolved
Noted the temperature

Result

Reaction: H2O (l) + NaOH (s) → NaOH (aq)

Ionization reaction: NaOH (aq) → Na+ (aq) + OH- (aq)

b) Entropy System at H2O + KNO3 Reaction

10 mL of H2O

Put in test tube 2

Measured at the temperature and noted
Temperature (T1)
Added half spatula spoon of weighted solid KNO3
Shaken until it dissolved
Noted the temperature

Result

Reaction: H2O (l) + KNO3 (s) → KNO3 (aq)

Ionization reaction: KNO3 (aq) → K+ (aq) + NO3- (aq)
c) Entropy System at HCl + Mg Metal Reaction
5 mL of 0,01M HCl

Put in test tube 3

Measured at the temperature and noted
Temperature (T1)
Added half spatula spoon of weighted solid Mg metal
Shaken until it dissolved
Noted the temperature

Result

Reaction: 2HCl (aq) + Mg (s) → MgCl2 (aq) + H2 (g)

2) Second Experiment
Entropy System at Ca(OH)2 + NH4Cl Reaction
A spoon of Ca(OH)2 Half spoon of NH4Cl

Put in a roll film

Roll
A Film
Measured the temperature

Temperature (T1)
Shaken until completely mixed
Inhaled the smell of the gas
Measured the temperature
Noted the result

Temperature (T2)

Reaction: Ca(OH)2 (s) + 2NH4Cl (s) → CaCl2 (s) + 2NH3 (g) + 2H2O (l)
