PRONOUNS (Kata Ganti)

Pronoun digunakan untuk menggantikan kata benda (noun). Contohnya; he, her, him, I, it, me, she, them,
they, us, and we. Contoh:
Luma is a good athlete.>She is a good athlete

Let's call Luma and ask her to join the team.

Demonstrative Pronouns
Demonstrative pronoun menunjuk kepada sebuah kata benda (noun): that, these, this, those. Contoh:
That is a good idea. ; These are hilarious cartoons.
Interrogative Pronouns
Interrogative pronoun digunakan dalam kalimat tanya : what, which, who, whom, dan kata yang berakhir
dengan "ever," contohnya: whatever, whichever, whoever, dan whomever. Contoh:
What on earth is that? Who ate the last Fig Newton?
Indefinite Pronouns
Indefinite pronoun merujuk kepada orang atau sesuatu yang tak tertentu : all, any, both, each, everyone,
few, many, neither, none, nothing, several, some, somebody. Contoh:
Something smells good.; Many like salsa with their chips.
Relative Pronouns
Relative pronoun adalah bagian clause (klausa), atau kalimat yang menerangkan noun: that, which,
who, whom. Contoh:
You should bring the book that you love most.;
Subjective Pronouns
Subjective pronoun bertindak sebagai subjek kalimat: he, I, it, she, they, we, you. Contoh:
He spends ages looking out the window; After lunch, she and I went to the planetarium.
Objective Pronouns
Objective pronoun bertindak sebagai objek kalimat: her, him, it, me, them, us, you. Contoh:
Cousin Eldred gave me a trombone; Take a picture of him, not us!
Possessive Objects
Possessive object menunjukkan pemilik dengan menyebutkan bendanya : her, his, its, my, our, their, your.
Contoh:
With your money and my experience in trading we can make a good business
Possessive Pronouns
Menunjukkan pemilik tanpa menyebutkan bendanya : hers, his, its, mine, ours, theirs, yours. Contoh:
The red basket is mine, Yours is
on the coffee table.
Reflexive Pronouns
Reflexive pronoun merujuk pada
subjek kalimat. Contoh:
I learned a lot about myself at
summer camp. (Myself merujuk
kepada I.)
