1st Partial 1st Semester


Infographic – Positive Thinking

Objective: Jointly identify the problems that young people present today and propose
the way in which this problem could be solved using positive thinking. Illustrate the
steps to follow through an infographic, in order to extrapolate the content of the course
in your life.
Students brainstorm a list of things that people their age often worry about.
Students prepare a poster to illustrate their ideas. The poster could include graphics,
images, and a catchy slogan.

Graduation profile: 1. Knows and values himself from his multiple dimensions
addressing problems and challenges taking into account the objectives he pursues as a
social transformer. 4. Listen, interpret, and issue pertinent social, academic, and faith
messages through the use of appropriate media, codes, and tools. 6. Supports a
personal position with dialogical, systemic and divergent thinking, on topics of general
interest and relevance, considering other points of view in a critical and reflective
manner. 9. Participate and collaborate effectively in diverse teams with a shared vision.

Bases:
1. All students enrolled in the first, third and fifth semester of Advanced English must
participate.
2. The elaboration, presentation and exhibition of the infographic will be carried out in
pairs chosen by the students themselves. The teams will be depending on the
number of students since they will be formed by 2 members, 3 if necessary.
3. It is the responsibility of the team to perform the work collaboratively.
4. It is the responsibility of the students of each team to seek and attend together with
their teacher so that they can advise them on any questions about their work.
5. The dates stipulated by the teacher for the delivery of advances must be respected.
6. Along with the delivery of the progress, the log format must be delivered, which must
contain the date, what was done, a description of what was done and the specific
contributions of each member, as well as the signature of each member.
7. The infographic corresponds to 50% of the exam grade for the first part of the
subject.
8. Progress in class will count as work in class and, in addition, will have a certain
percentage within the evaluation of the project.
9. The infographic must be delivered on the agreed day and time. Late work will not be
received without exception.
10. THIS DOCUMENT MUST BE SUBMITTED DATED AND SIGNED, OTHERWISE
THE WORK WILL NOT BE RECEIVED.

Guidelines:
 Free format. You can use the platform of your choice to make the infographic.
 Content:
o The problem to be solved must be clearly exemplified.
o You must include a creative title that describes the problem/solution.
o It must include a line of steps (at least 3) that clearly and simply explain the
steps to follow to solve the problem using positive thinking.
o It must include a slogan (short, clear, concise) that helps to understand or
memorize the solution (An example could be using a mnemonic. If our
problem were a conflict with our parents, and our way of solving it is Listen
before speaking, Think before to act, Time out before confronting, Dialogue
before yelling and Understanding before judging. Our slogan could be "When
talking to your parents, PETDE you should not forget")
o It must include the name of the team members.
o You can use images, statistics, fun facts. Remember to use your creativity.
o If you use a bibliography, please add it.
 Team members should explain their infographic to the group. Exposing the problem
and what are the steps they agreed to and why they chose them, always
emphasizing positive thinking.

Evaluation criteria
 The project is equivalent to 50% of the exam grade for the first partial.
 Of 100% of that 50%, the following is broken down:
o 25% infographic
o 25% presentation
o 15% work in class
o 15% behavior during presentations
o 10% self-assessment
o 10% peer review

Schedule
 September 5th: Introduce the project, read the rubric, answer questions, brainstorm
problems and make teams.
 September 7th: Show the teacher the progress of the project.
 September 10th: Send the infographic to your teacher via email.
