Read the following information.
The production of Kitchen or a Cooking
Utensils has continued to increase since the
beginning of the 19th-century. In the early-
19th-century, forks were finally widely
accepted in the United States. By the early-
1900s, the Industrial Revolution was
over, which had significantly influenced much
of the world.
At the same time, wealthy populations in
Europe were interested in specialized utensils,
like sardine forks and jelly knives.
The mainstream acceptance of kitchen
utensils at this point paired with the reputation
of them being high status significantly
increased the demand for kitchen utensils.
Stainless steel was invented and producing
kitchen utensils became easier and faster,
quickly getting them into most U.S. and
European households

small hand-held tool used for food
preparation. Common kitchen tasks include
cutting food items to size, heating food on
an open fire or on a stove, baking, grinding,
mixing, blending, and measuring; different
utensils are made for each task.

are commonly found in the kitchen.

2. Can Opener- A can opener (also known
as a tin opener) is a device used to open

foods into fine pieces. A box grater with
multiple grating surfaces

5. Colander - A colander is a kitchen utensil


used to strain foods such as pasta or to
rinse vegetables. The perforated nature of
the colander allows liquid to drain
through while retaining the solids inside.
It is sometimes also called a pasta
strainer or kitchen sieve

6. Soup Laddle- A ladle is a type of serving


spoon with an extra-long, straight handle
and a large, cup-shaped bowl at the end.
It's an excellent (super-helpful) kitchen
tool for serving liquid and semi-liquid
dishes

7. Peeler- A peeler is a kitchen tool, a


distinct type of kitchen knife, consisting
of a metal blade with a slot with a sharp
edge attached to a handle, used to remove
the outer layer of some vegetables such
as potatoes, broccoli stalks, and carrots.

8. Measuring Spoon- A measuring spoon is


a spoon used to measure an amount of an
ingredient, either liquid or dry,when
cooking. Measuring spoons may be made
of plastic, metal, and other materials.
They are available in many sizes,
including the teaspoon and tablespoon

9. Whisk- A whisk is a cooking utensil


which can be used to blend ingredients
smooth or to incorporate air into a
mixture in a process known as whisking
or whipping.

10. Wooden Spoon- A wooden spoon is a


spoon that is used for stirring sauces and
for mixing ingredients in cooking. It is
made of wood and has a long handle.

Basic Kitchen Safety Rule


While preparing food and making your
favorite dish in the kitchen is fun and
enjoyable, it is important to follow basic
kitchen safety rules. There are countless
hazards lying around which could lead to
an accident and injury. From sharp
knives that could be left lying around,
being exposed to an open flame from the
oven or stovetop, the use of electrical
appliances, and even bacteria in your
kitchen. To prevent harm to
yourself and to those around you, it is
vital that we pay attention to what we are
doing,what is going on around us
(especially if there are kids nearby), have
a proper plan and system in place when
cooking, and have the right safety
equipment
