Practicum Week: 2
Date: 3rd – 7th April 2023
Title: Students behave rudely in class.

Focused Issues
In the Year 6 class, I realize some of my students act very rude among themselves.
They also ignore the instruction given by teachers.

Focused Issue Analysis

In my opinion the students maybe needs some attitude arrangement to correct the
way they talk with teacher and other students.

Literature Review
According to Rachel C. F. Sun and Daniel T. L. Shek (2012) stated that Obviously,
student misbehaviors retard the smoothness and effectiveness of teaching and also
impede the learning of the student and his/her classmates. Moreover, research
findings have shown that school misbehavior not only escalated with time but also
lowered academic achievement and increased delinquent behavior.
Recommendation
As educators, sometimes we have the habit of talking more than we listen. In this
case, rather than talking at the student, give them time to speak. Maybe that student
didn’t realize they were calling out. Maybe the student felt disrespected by something
you said first. Regardless of what you think about their behavior, give kids a chance
to speak. They deserve that. It can become the foundation for repairing relationships
and moving on.
Resolution Time Frame
I will try to solve within five school days from April 17th to 21 st April 2023.

Follow -up Action

As part of my corrective action plan, I'll listen to what the problem that they have to
ease their burden and give them verbal reward.

Conclusion
The actions that have been taken using the recommended solutions that I have
identified have had a positive impact, the students now have an acceptable behavior.
