(brick pattern), line-grained carbonate mud may fill the
original void, or it may be filled by precipitation of cement 0
(which can be calcite, but also silica or other minerals). II
the original skeletal material was carbonate, it usually
recrystallizes to coarsely crystalline calcite, but it may also
dissolve away, leaving a void.
