The basic concept of networking tools that specially used in the management,
monitoring, troubleshooting and improvisation of computer networks. Its also used to
make network diagrams and layout for LAN infrastructural design and others purpose.
Network Simulation: Cisco Packet Tracer allows users to create and simulate
complex network typologies, including routers, switches, PCs, servers, and more. It
emulates the behavior of Cisco networking devices, making it a valuable learning tool
for networking students.
Protocols and Services: Packet Tracer supports a wide range of networking protocols
and services, enabling users to experiment with various networking concepts, such as
routing, switching, VLANs, and sub netting.
Wireshark
Packet Capture: Wireshark is primarily known for its packet capturing capabilities.
It can capture and analyze network packets in real-time or from saved capture files.
Packet Filtering: Users can set up filters to narrow down the packets they want to
analyze. This is particularly useful when dealing with large volumes of network
traffic.
Deep Packet Inspection: Wireshark provides detailed information about each
captured packet, including source and destination addresses, packet type, payload data,
and more. It allows for in-depth analysis of network communication.
Color Coding: Wireshark uses color coding to highlight different types of packets,
making it easier to identify issues or anomalies in network traffic.
Display Filters: Users can create custom display filters to focus on specific types of
traffic or conditions, further enhancing packet analysis efficiency.
Graphical Analysis: Wireshark offers various graphical tools and statistics for
visualizing network traffic patterns, flow, and utilization.
Protocol Hierarchy: It provides a protocol hierarchy view, allowing users to see how
different protocols interact within a packet capture.
Export and Reporting: Wireshark enables users to export captured data or analysis
results in various formats, making it easier to share findings or integrate with other
tools.
Pycharm
Wireshark:
Wireshark is a powerful packet analysis tool used to capture, analyze, and inspect
network traffic in real-time or from saved capture files. Its primary purpose is to
diagnose network issues, identify security threats, and gain deep insights into the
behavior of network protocols. Wireshark's detailed packet-level analysis helps
network professionals and security experts understand how data flows through a
network and troubleshoot connectivity problems effectively.
PyCharm:
PyCharm is a versatile integrated development environment (IDE) primarily used for
writing, debugging, and testing Python code for various software development
projects.

Hub
A hub is a basic networking device that connects multiple devices in a network. It
operates at the physical layer of the OSI model and broadcasts data to all connected
devices. Hubs are rarely used in modern networks due to their inefficiency and lack of
intelligence. To use a hub, connect network cables from the devices you want to
network to the hub's ports. Hubs require no configuration. However, keep in mind that
they do not segment network traffic, which can lead to collisions and network
congestion.
Switch
A switch is a more advanced networking device that operates at the data link layer of
the OSI model. It intelligently forwards data only to the device that needs it, reducing
network congestion and improving network performance. To use a switch, connect
network cables from devices to the switch's ports. Unlike hubs, switches require
minimal configuration, usually involving setting up VLANs or configuring specific
port settings for security purposes.
RJ45
RJ45 is a type of connector used for Ethernet cables. It has eight pins and is
commonly used for connecting devices to a network, such as computers, switches,
and routers.
