Module 1: Recognizing and Identifiying
Consonant Letter Ff
OVERVIEW
This module was designed and written with you in mind. It is
here to help you recognize and identify consonant letter Ff in the
alphabet. The scope of this module permits it to be used in many
different learning situations. The language used recognizes the
diverse vocabulary level of students. The lessons are arranged to
follow the standard sequence of the course. The module focuses on
achieving this learning competency:
Recognizing and Identifying Consonant Letter Ff in the

After going through this module, you are expected to:
a. recognize consonant letter Ff in the alphabet;
b. identify consonant letter Ff in the alphabet; and
c. gives the beginning sound of the given word/picture

PRE-TEST

BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE LESSON

The word consonant is also used to refer to a letter of an alphabet


that denotes a consonant sound. The 21 consonant letters in the
English alphabet are B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, X,
Z, and usually W and Y.

ACTIVITY 1: Things Around Us


Look at the words below that begin with consonant letter Ff. Name each
picture and give the beginning sound of each objects.

Look at the objects inside the box. Name each objects and cross out( X )

REMEMBER
The /f/ sound is made through the mouth and it is Unvoiced which
means that you do not use your vocal cords to make the sound. It is
defined by position of your lips and teeth and it is a fricative, which is a
sound that is produced by high pressure air flow between a narrow
space in the mouth.
