The Egyptian pyramids, particularly the Giza Pyramids, are world-famous and highly popular

among tourists. They are iconic symbols of ancient Egypt and attract millions of visitors from
around the world each year who come to marvel at their historical significance and architectural
marvel.

1. The oldest of the Egyptian pyramids is the stepped pyramid of Joser in Saqqara, built in the
27th century BC. e. This pyramid is considered the precursor of the more famous pyramids in
Giza.

2. Structures in Giza, such as the pyramid of Khufu, also known as Cheops, were built using huge
stone blocks, some of which weighed more than 50 tons.

Egyptian pyramids are sun-oriented. Most of them have four sides that point to the four main
sides of the world.
The inner pyramid corridors and chambers often served as burial places for the pharaohs and
their treasures

The Pyramid of Cheops was one of the "Seven Wonders of the World" of the ancient world and
