Sequence of operation to perform

- Mandatory assign N.E. name to set it active

1) If NE is in “read only”  [on NE icon] < Access control > < Request write access >

2) Open NE  < Module view > < NE/Subrack > < Configuratio > < Network Element >
[enter NE individual name] otherwise it cannot be set active.

3) Set NE to “Active” < NE State > < Set to Active >  Reboot  ……. loss of
communication  Start NE

4) Set NE Date and Time  < Module view > < NE subrack > < Configuration >
< NE Time >
5) Configure MCF Stack parameters  < Module view > < MFP1 > < Configuration >
< MCF > < Stack parameters > < Configuration >

6) Switch NE to “Operation State”  < NE state > < Set to Operation >  Reboot?

7) <Optios> <Settings> [set as requested by Network Design]

8) Configure DCC  < MPF1 > < Configuration > < MCF > < DCC > < Configuration >
[set as requested by Network Design]

9) Configure synchronization  < MPF1 > < Configuration > < SEC >
[set as requested by Network Design]

10) Configure Modules  < [module name] > < Configuration > < Card >
[set as requested by Network Design]

11) Configure Traffic  < [Interface module view] > < [port symbol] > < Subvew >
< [traffic flow symbol] > < Configuration >

VC4 traffic structuring

<Module view>

 Select STM1 unit  click dx < subview >

 Select the port (line 1 or 2)  click dx < subview >

(appear “STM1 Traffic flow” window)

 (on TAU4 / VC4 Mux) click dx  < deactivate “VC4 Mux Structure” >
( if not already inactive )

 (again in the same window, on TAU4 / VC4 Mux) click dx  < Configuration >

 < “VC4 Mux Preparation >  Change VC4 structure as needed

 (on TAU4 / VC4 Mux) click dx  < activate “VC4 Mux Structure” >
DCC Activation and Configuration

< Module view >

 Click dx < MFP1 > < MCF > < DCC > [ Only « 4 » DCC are available in hiT 7050 ]

 Select one of the DCC  Select the type of DCC ( DCCR – DCCM )  Select one
port of one of the SDH units  < Connect >

 Click dx < ”connected DCC” (the one hilyted) > < Configuration >  In the
“Configuration” sector, select “Interface Type” [ User or Network ]
