#1. Leadership for Rallph M. Stogdill:
The author of "Theories and Research of Leadership" says
that there are as many definitions of leadership as there are
people who have thought of it.
This makes it clear that finding an exact definition will be
almost impossible and will always depend on the context in
which you want to work.
Stogdill attempts to summarize Leadership simply as:
"The process of conducting the activities of a group and
influencing the behaviors they develop."

#2. For Raymond B. Cattell:

He was a British psychologist thinking about intelligence and
personality, and theorizing about the existence of fluid and
crystallized intelligence.
For him, the concept of Leadership is:
"The leader is one who produces a different group personality
than there would be if he were not present, and his leadership
capacity is measured by the magnitude of the effective
changes in the group's performance."

#3. Leadership for Idalberto Chiavenato:

For this well-known author of Human Resources topics,
Leadership has to do with, mainly, meeting business
objectives:
"It is a process in which the Leader exercises the ability to
influence and lead a group of people, motivating them to work
enthusiastically towards the fulfillment of organizational
objectives."
