Children and Families Hub Responder

Job purpose

To provide a comprehensive and confidential point of entry for all new enquiries to the Children
and Families Hub, including the provision of information and advice about services to members
of the public and to partner agencies.

To provide support to Family Partnership workers and Managers through accurate data
recording and administration of systems and processes.

Job specific outcomes

1. Receive telephone calls, emails and forms from members of the public and professionals
who are raising a concern for a child’s safety or wellbeing or seeking support.

2. Provide immediate advice and signposting on available services to professionals and


members of the public

3. Record information accurately onto the electronic system

4. Respond to immediate concerns in line with Jersey policies and procedures

5. Work closely with the Triage team in the Hub to ensure that decisions are made in a
timely manner and in accordance with guidance, processes and procedures

6. Support Family Partnership workers and managers in recording and processing


information about children and families including requests for service (including short
breaks), assessments and plans onto the electronic system

7. Support the Service Co-ordinator to ensure effective facilities management of the Centres
where Family and Community Support are based, including arrangements for reception,
room bookings and co-ordination of multi-agency clinics, Team around the Child
meetings, and any other professional meetings or child and family interventions, liaising
closely with and between services using the Centres.

8. Support the Service Co-ordinator in the administration of Jersey’s Children First training
and parenting training, overseeing booking arrangements, venue booking and
preparation of training resources.
9. Maintain up to date records that ensure the service provided is both transparent and
accountable in line with departmental standards.
