volunteers and physiotherapists to set up the venue and put everything neccessary in place
before the arrival of the participants, who were still in the ongoing church service. An
orientation was carried out by Kbite Okusanya, just before the close of the church service to
enlighten church members on our objectives and their participation in the outreach. The
outreach commenced at about 1:00pm at the close of the church service, with the audience
coming out in their numbers to partake in the different aspects of the event such as; clinical
assessments (BMI assessment, gait analysis, functional tests on subjective information,
exercise prescription), obesity advice and prescription of drugs, and Ergonomics lecture.
This outreach was a 100% success with plans running smoothly and seamlessly. It also served
as an important opportunity for members of the KB KLUB to get familiar with the Physiotherapy
aspect of a medical outreach.

A DERMATOLOGY-THEMED OUTREACH IN
PARTNERSHIP WITH THE DERMATOLOGY
CLINIC OUTREACH MISSION

Since inception, the KB KLUB has placed primary focus on improving the quality of lives of
members of her immediate and far community. Students, the old, the young, everyone has a
place in the big heart of The KB KLUB.

On November 5th, we brought a partnership to life by holding a dermatology-themed

outreach in Ikate Primary Health Centre, Lekki. This was made possible through the ingenious
innovation of the Fola David Foundation and the industrious support of the Dermatology Clinic
outreach mission. This outreach saw us touch the lives of over 300 individuals. KBites, with
student volunteers handled the medical checks, pharmacy and medical consultation while
consultants from the Dermatology Clinic handled the many dermatology-related issues which
we had on ground that day.

The skin is the largest organ in the body. Many diseases are associated with the skin, and this
was well elaborated by Dr. Ify of The Dermatology Clinic and proper translation was conducted
by the KB Protocol, Folly Oluwaremilekun. Several drugs, skin care products including
sunscreen was provided for everyone.

This was a successful outreach by all margins and was attested to by all participants.

SAMUEL'S WEDDING

“Love recognizes no barriers, it

jumps hurdles, leaps fences,
penetrates walls to arrive at its
destination, full of hope” –Maya
Angelou.

The KB Klub aims at grooming respectable gentlemen in the society according to her core
ethos: Philanthropy, Academic Excellence and Social Empowerment, all in all creating a man
who is well balanced. We also have time to unwind at the KB Klub and we did so by celebrating
with our dear Life KBite Nwabudike at his wedding ceremony on 10th September 2022 at the
Villa Park Hotel and Suite, FESTAC, Lagos. For us at the KB Klub, celebration with our Life KBites is
important and reinstates the brotherhood through which we are connected.

The Klub was invited by Life KBite Nwabudike, a former financial secretary and member of the
Klub, to his wedding reception, an invitation which was well received. KBites arrived in style,
looking well suited for the event in the attire for the day, a white traditional wear and a purple
fila (Yoruba cap). Upon arrival at the wedding reception, we were received very warmly by the
ushers and escorted to our reserved table. The wedding’s program of events went smoothly
and very seamlessly, the families of the bride and groom were all smiles and full of joy. As this
was a monumental moment for our Life KBite we made sure to dance and celebrate alongside
him and his bride as they enjoyed what is the beginning of a prosperous life together. He was
also given a well-deserved honorary Guard of Honour, customary of the Klub, by KBites and
other Life KBites in attendance. Of course, KBites were jolly as well; we ate, drank, danced and
celebrated our dear life KBite as he steps into a new and fruitful chapter of his life.

In totality, the wedding was very beautiful and thoroughly enjoyed by all KBites. The KB Klub
wishes Life KBite Nwabudike Samuel and his wife the very best on this wonderful and blissful
journey, may the years ahead be filled with lasting joy!

MEETING WITH HON. KUNLE

SONAME

On Sunday, 18th September, 2022 the KB Klub officially met with Honorable Kunle Soname in Ikenne, Ogun
State to discuss some matters pertaining to the Klub. This visit was an especially long-awaited and highly
anticipated one. Honorable Kunle Soname is a well-established politician, philanthropist, sport enthusiast
and billionaire businessman with a very much diversified business portfolio. He heads a number of
organizations such as: Bet9ja, Value Jet, BLFA hotels as well as ownership of two football clubs: a Portuguese
club called Clube Desportivo Feirense and a homegrown club called Remo Stars Football Club, which plays
in the Nigerian Professional Football League.
The Keebite, KBite Aiyeyemi, KB Viceroy, KBite Akinwande, KBrite, KBite Eze and KBite Femi-Adeniyi were the
KBites who handled this meeting. KBites arrived a few hours earlier to watch a football match in the REMO
STARS FOOTBALL CLUB STADIUM, seated in the VIP section, to watch a match between Remo Stars F.C. & AS
Forces Armees Royales de Rabat of Morocco. Although it ended in a defeat by one goal for the Remo Stars,
the match was a tough and well-fought one down to the wire. The stadium was also a very standard one,
extremely comfortable and very relaxing.

We then proceeded to handle the business of the day which was a courtesy visit to Honorable Kunle
Soname. At the start of the meeting, we also had the privilege of seeing a Super Eagles legend in the person
of Victor Ikpeba aka The Monaco Prince. During the course of the meeting, we presented Honorable Soname
a copy of our magazine, as a well-detailed proposal for our upcoming philanthropic events. These were
received warmly, and majority of our requests were granted by the Bet9ja Chairman. We also briefed him on
the Klub, highlighting our core ethos: Philanthropy, Academic Excellence and Social Empowerment.
The meeting was an extremely successful one which yielded all manners of positive response from him. It is
safe to say that there is a well-established relationship between Honorable Kunle Soname and the KB Klub.
The Klub would also like to specially thank Barrister Femi Adeniyi who served as a bridge between Honorable
Kunle Soname and the KB Klub.

KB KLUB MEETS OONI OF IFE.

ROYALTY MEETS PHILANTHROPY

Sunday, 13th November 2022: A day with memories that would remain in gold.
Alongside Life KBite Gbadamosi (the popular and foremost speed painter popularly known as
Fola David), KBites between the late hours of Sunday, November 13th and the early hours of
Monday, November 14th paid a visit to the monarch of the Yoruba kingdom of Ile-Ife, Oba
Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; (Ojaja II) CFR, the Ooni of Ife, at Eko Hotel and Suites. The Ooni sits at
the centre of humanitarianism, philanthropy and goodwill. He is a symbol of hope and the
voice of the people.
A very cheerful and accommodating personality, he commended the men in suits on our very
unique style of dressing as medical students. The essence, history and affiliations of the KB
KLUB was introduced by the Keebite who emphasized our core ethos of Philanthropy,
Academic Excellence and Social Empowerment. This was received well by the Ooni. Reaching
out to over 3,000 people this year, the KBrite then discussed in extensive details the success
achieved by the KLUB in philanthropy.
The discussion flowed smoothly as the Ooni lightened the air with warm remarks. Representing
goodwill and philanthropy, we made some requests to the Ooni which also met his warm
acceptance. Light jokes flew across the room as the Ooni shared in the peculiar and
trademark greeting of the KB KLUB: "KB KB!"
We took pictures thereafter and the meeting came to a close. A painting by Life KBite
Gbadamosi Fola-David was also officially presented to the Ooni, with whom another meeting
is imminent.
