NETC Lane
Various device installed at ETC Lane

 NETC tag Reader- It is a device installed at Toll Plaza that is

used to read information from the NETC tag which is affixed
on the vehicle. The RFID reader transmits a signal in the
form of EM (Electromagnetic) waves.

 Weight-in-motion (WIM) - These devices are designed to

capture and record vehicle weight. Vehicle separators are
used to distinguish between the automobiles aligned in
queue.

 Automatic Vehicle Classification (AVC) - It is an alternative

system which is used by toll plaza operator to identify the
vehicle class. Usually an infrared profiler is used to generate
the vehicle profile which in turn is matched with the pre-
defined or standard vehicle profiles.

 Image Capturing Cameras - It is used to capture the image

of vehicles passing through the ETC lane. This image will be
used to resolve any disputes raised by the customers or toll
plaza operator.
