Ancient religions of

the subcontinent

Hinduism:
Hinduism is an ancient religion of the
Indian subcontinent. the Hindu temple of
Padmanabha Swamy in south India gleams
tell and gold in bright sunlight. Hindus
believe that such temples and their
objects are holy, belonging personality to
the god or gods who believe in them.
Jainism:
The spiritual goal of Jainism is to become
liberated from the endless cycle of rebirth and
to achieve an all-knowing state called moksha.
This can be attained by living a nonviolent life,
or ahimsa, with as little negative impact on
other life forms as possible.
Buddhism:
buddhism appealed most to merchants, traders, Shudras, and
Untouchables, and so many of its monks and nuns were recruited from
these castes. they spread the teachings and rituals of Buddhism
enthusiastically. Buddhism is a religion that is based on the teachings of
Siddhartha Gautama. The main principles of this belief system are karma,
rebirth, and impermanence.
